Blog Tour Stop: Renegade Reject (Renegade Sons MC, #2) by Emily Minton and Dawn Marten

Daisy “Little Flower” Anderson has lived her entire life on the sidelines of the Renegade Sons MC. Her father is a member, and her mother a club whore turned old lady. Not wanting to follow their footsteps, she chose a different path; one that keeps her close to the biker family she loves, but out of the club.

Struggling to keep it together, she never thought she would have anything of her own, until she met Preach. He is everything she swore she didn't want in life. One night of passion leads to unexpected consequences, and she knows, now more than ever, it’s time to move forward.

Garrett “Preach” Austin lived his life caught in his father’s iron fist. He never thought he would want anything more than freedom from his past, until he met his “Little Flower”. She shows him there is more to life than pain.

Preach has a secret; one that forces him to choose between Daisy and his brothers. Even though he loves Daisy, the Renegade Sons are the only true family he has. He knows he can’t have her, yet he can’t let her go.

When Daisy moves on, Preach realizes what he’s lost. Can he prove that he’s the man for her, or is he too late?

After reading the Madeline Sheehan series, Undeniable, I could never find another MC series that comes even close to compare. Then the Renegade Son series comes along and blows my mind. I'm in LOVE with this series! Like really, really in love! After reading Renegade Lady, I thought no one could top Kidd and Ice's story, but Preach and Little Flower, Daisy, just took this series above and beyond!

Preach. I loved him and then I hated him and then I loved him again. He pissed me off more than I can count while reading this book. And Daisy, the "beautiful little flower," this girl is strong and determined,  I wanted to be her best friend and give her hugs. This girl grows up her entire life dealing with a lot of crap and it continues into her adulthood. Her dad, Maker, a Renegade Son MC member, is a drunk and her mother needs a continuous bitch-slap. Hard. Her life wasn't easy, but she was loved and cared for by other members of the Club.

Renegade Reject story starts before Renegade Lady, and then runs parallel to it.The prologue itself was heartbreaking and we understand why Preach turned to the MCs and made them his own family. He's broken and harboring secrets that haunt him.

Preach runs into Daisy, who is young, as in "you can't touch till she's legal." young. But they have an immediate connection, the attraction is undeniable. These two develop a friendship and Preach knows where the boundaries are until she turns 18. But outside forces (a.k.a. skanky club whores) become tempting for Preach. Without spoiling all the goodies, let's just say, Daisy doesn't have any true girlfriends.

A mistake tears them apart and Daisy feels like she can't trust him anymore. Over the years, this makes Preach become a total different person, but deep down he still loves Daisy.

Daisy and Preach continue this hot/cold and off/on/off/on relationship throughout the book. It was so frustrating, because I wanted Preach to wake up and make it right for Daisy (but what fun would that be if it was all perfect?).

Renegade Reject is filled with so much heartache and "oh-no, he didn't" moments, it made the book a real page turner. I couldn't get enough. I loved the ups and down of their relationship--no matter how f*ed up it was at times, it just worked for them. I think they had to go through all that crap to get to where they are at the end.

We were also introduced to a few more MC characters that I can't wait to read more about in this series!

And that epligoue at the end of Renegade Reject....

The. Best. Written. Last. Paragraph. Ever.

Preach “Can you do me a favor, brother?” Timber lifts his chin. “What’cha need?” Lifting a nearly empty bottle of beer, Maker motions for the prospect to bring him another. “I was supposed to pick up Little Flower, but I’m too drunk to have her on my bike. Can you run down to the diner and take her home?”

“If you knew you had to pick up your daughter, why the hell have you been drinking?” He shrugs. “I didn’t mean to get drunk, but it just happened.” “If you for once put the beer down, it wouldn’t just happen,” Timber mumbles under his breath before looking toward me. “You wanna take a ride?” Nodding, I stand up and follow him outside. “I didn’t know Maker had a kid.” “He’s got a daughter, and she’s probably the prettiest little thing you’ve ever seen. His bitch of a wife keeps her away from the club, so she’s not around much. ”

“Lula’s always here. Why doesn’t she let the girl come around?” He slides onto his bike before answering me. “Lula likes to be the center of attention. When her daughter’s around, she’s nothing but a shadow.” I climb onto my bike, wondering what is so special about this kid.
