Release Day Blitz: Drawn to You by Ker Dukey

D2U Blitr

D2U Blitz Excerpt

Oh, perfect I just get back from a run with sweaty hair,

wet and hanging loose from the hair band attempting but

failing to keep it in place. I’m wearing sweats and an old

Muse t-shirt with a stain on it from spilt juice, and who’s

sitting looking perfect in a suit and tie, tapping away at his

laptop?

Mr sexy/annoying as hell Finlay, that’s who.

He gets up and knocks back whatever is in his mug,

closing his computer, and smirks as he takes in my attire.

“There’s eggs still hot on the stove. Help yourself, and tell

Gaby I won’t be back for dinner.” He waltzes past me, his

scent hitting me in the face like invisible mist …delicious

scented mist.

“Do I look like your secretary?” I mumble over my

shoulder, grabbing a bottle of water I’d left on the counter

from earlier then guzzling it down. The warm palm hitting

my ass cheek causes a screech to choke out of me and water

to spurt everywhere. Warm air hits my earlobe as Finlay

whispers, “No, you definitely do not look like my secretary.”

Did he really slap my butt?

“Hang on. Is that an insult or a compliment?” I call after

him as he chuckles and shuts the front door behind him.

Looking down at my outfit, I scrunch my nose up. I need

some new clothes and I need to kick his ass for slapping

mine.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active... I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own.

ker
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

You can find me on Facebook where i love interacting with my readers.

ARC Review: Ride Steady (Chaos #3) by Kristen Ashley

Release Date: June 30, 2015

The ride of her life . . . Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.

Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever...

4.5 MC Stars!

When a new Kristen Ashley books lands on my Kindle, you probably can hear me scream with excitement! Especially when it comes to her Chaos series. Give me more Kane "Tack" Allen and the rest of his bad ass, alpha boys. I mean, men. And when you give me a little of Lee Nightingale in this book, then I'm in heaven!

You can now add  Carson "Joker" Steele to my top KA's men. Carson was a loner and grew up with an abusive father and was thrown in the underground world of illegal fighting for his frustration. But his neighbors and a teacher had his back and interest. He dreamed of a good life, building bikes/cars and crushing on the head cheerleader and overall nice girl, Carissa Teodoro.

But having enough of his father's abuse, Carson takes off. Years later he comes back, stronger and a Chaos MC member and only known as Joker.

Carissa thought she have the perfect life and marriage with her high school sweetheart. But it turns out he's a cheat, left her with nothing, but gave her sweet baby boy, Travis. She's a struggling single mother, but she's determined to give her baby a good life. She works hard at an underpaying job and trying to better her life--even though it seems to keep knocking her back down.

The timing of Joker rescuing Carissa and Travis on the side of the road couldn't be more perfect. But with long hair and beard, Carissa does not recognize that Joker is the boy from high school, who she had a crush on.

With the help of the Tack and the Chaos MC, they try to get Carissa back on her feet. And not without the help of the Rock Chick ladies (LOVE THEM!). But Joker is the one that holds back on Carissa. He's distant, but can't seem to keep away from her and her baby. He has secrets that he thinks will corrupt the nice girl in Carissa.

Ride Steady is not without plenty of drama, pure sexiness, laughs and angst. It's another fantastic hit for KA and this series. I cannot wait for more.

4 Stars

Mia and Quinn. A new favorite book couple. These two characters had so much chemistry and completely non-judgmental of each other.

Mia is a shy, sweet and not very confidant woman. Especially around men. And in order to overcome this trait, she seeks out a male escort service to help her boost her confidence and to lose her V-card! And what do you know, she stumbles upon her brother Harry's best friend, Matt Quinn, on this site. Matt makes his living as an escort that services women with more than a little date...

Mia hits up Quinn with an email and these two slowly become friendly and flirtatious over time. Quinn finds himself attracted to Mia (but she's known to him as "Maya") without meeting her in person. I loved reading their banter and funny emails throughout this book. It really showed how these two developed a friendship online.

Quinn tries not to get too attached to "Maya" because in the end, she's just a client. And Mia ("Maya") knows she needs to stop their relationship, because of his friendship with her brother and when the truth comes out, it will ruin her relationship with Quinn.

Once Quinn and Mia meet for their date, the face-to-face relationship

ARC Review: Searching for Always (Searching For #4) by Jennifer Probst

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst sparks a blissful mind-body connection as her “sexy, satisfying” (Kirkus Reviews) new series continues!

She’s an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counseling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she’s a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. And when police officer Stone Petty—radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude—is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there’s no halting their sizzling flirtation—a red-hot, high-speed chase that’s breaking all the limits.

3.5 stars

You must find some zen to hang out with Arilyn Meadows! And that is what hot-head, Officer Stone Petty had to find out the hard way.

Arilyn helps others focus on de-stressing and living a clean, healthy life. She counsels those who need to control their anger and channel it to a peaceful place. In comes Officer Petty who is on a work suspension and is mandated to attend her six-week course.

Stone Petty loves his job. He's a cop and believes in protecting the innocent no matter what. And that lands him in Arilyn's class. And all the zen, yoga moves, crystals and deep breathing is not what the Officer needs or believes in. But he can't help the attraction to Arilyn.

Arilyn and Stone constantly are at battle in their sessions. But the chemistry and sexual attraction can't be denied. There were plenty of funny moments and banter between these two.

These two characters couldn't have been more opposite and I think that is what makes their story and relationship work (and it's HOT!). I loved the passion that Arilyn had about animal welfare and how she helped Stone overcome some of his fears. Overall, Searching For Always is a cute read that ends with a the perfect HEA!

What can I say? I love a good MC read and Captain and Eddie made one fantastic, bad ass couple.
Captain is the President of the Four Horsemen MC. He's lived this life for a long time--prospecting when he was younger and has his eyes on Eddie Rollins since the beginning of time. But, Eddie was older and married to one of his brothers, Joker.
Years later, Captain is ready to make his move on Eddie and make her his Old Lady. The chemistry and attraction between these two is strong. But getting together is not easy--she's still trying to move on from Joker and outside enemy stands in the way.
Captain is determined to protect her no matter what. Devil May Care is filled with plenty of MC drama and keeps you turning the page. What I loved most about this book is the age gap between these two characters. It's the the typical older man chasing after twenty-something girl. Eddie is older, wiser and knows who she is. And  having Captain fifteen years younger than her, makes this story even more better!

About the Author
Cynthia Rayne is the author of the Amazon best-selling Four Horsemen MC series. Her first erotic book was written when she was thirteen. Of course, the most risqué scene involved kissing, but it was the talk of her middle school! She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in education and writes whenever she can. In her spare time, she enjoys dating, shopping, reading way too many romance novels, and drinking a truly obscene amount of coffee.

As a child, JC was fascinated by things that went bump in the night. As they say, some things never change. Now, as an adult, she divides her time between the sexy law men, mythical creatures, and kick-ass heroines that live inside her head and pursuing her bachelor's degree in English. JC is a San Francisco Bay Area native, but has also called both Texas and Louisiana home. These days she rocks her flip flops year round in Northern California and can't imagine a climate more beautiful.

JC writes adult, new adult, and young adult fiction. She dabbles in many different genres including science fiction, horror, chick lit, and murder mysteries, yet she is most enthralled by supernatural stories-- and everything has at least a splash of romance.

Blog Tour Stop: Beat by Vi Keeland

Dimpled smile of a boy
Hard body of a man
Sings like an angel
Fucks like the devil

I was stuck between a rock(star) and a hard place.

At fifteen, his poster hung on my bedroom wall. At twenty-five his body hovered over mine. Every girl’s fantasy became my reality. I was dating a rockstar. Yet I was slowly falling for another man. The problem was—the two men—they shared a tour bus.

Flynn Beckham was the opening act.
Dylan Ryder was the headliner.

What happens when the opening act begins to shine so bright, it seems to dim everything else in its wake?

I’ll tell you what happens. Things get ugly.

Getting through Flynn singing is incredibly hard.  The way his throat moves, the way his mouth caresses each syllable of the low, raspy sound that falls from his lips.  I should be watching his posture, his breathing, the way his larynx forces out the words—but instead I’m focused on the beauty of his mouth and how the sound of his voice glides over my body, making it feel both warm and tingly at the same time.  I’m lost when the song finishes, yet I haven’t really observed him yet.

“So.  Give it to me straight.  What am I doing wrong?”

Ummm…absolutely nothing from what I can see.  Everything was perfect.  Don’t change a thing.  Shit.  “Could you do it again?  Maybe a different song, one you haven’t sung in a while.  So the sounds are less familiar to your body.  Sometimes that can give me a different view.”  At least I make it sound like a real thing when the words come out.
He sings again, and this time I force myself to observe.  “Hmm…your posture is great.  Most people have a tendency to favor one side of their neck, which makes them tilt a bit when they speak, and it becomes magnified when they sing, which puts strain on the muscles around the vocal cords.  Your alignment is perfect.”

“Thank you, it goes with the rest of my perfectness,” he says with a teasing arrogance that, from the little I know about him, I know isn’t real.

“You didn’t let me finish.”

“You can’t now tell me I’m not perfect.  I was already basking in the glow.”

“Actually, it was perfect…but almost a little too perfect.  Which makes me think you don’t usually stand this way when you sing.”

“It isn’t the way I normally sing.  On stage, I usually have a guitar over my shoulder.  Even if I’m not playing it, it’s there.”

“Well, I need to see you holding your instrument to assess you fully, then.”

Flynn’s eyebrows quirk up and the dirty grin on his face is unmistakable.
“The guitar.  I’d need to see you holding the guitar.

“That’s a shame.”  He shrugs, the playful smile still on his face.  “But okay.  It’s your call.  Whatever instrument you want to see me hold is fine with me.”
“How big of you.”

“So now we’re talking about the other instrument again?”

I roll my eyes, although this conversation is having more of an effect on me than I let on.
