Bountiful (True North, #4) by Sarina Bowen

No last names. No life stories. Those were the rules.

Once upon a time a cocky, copper-haired tourist sauntered into Zara’s bar. And even though she knew better, Zara indulged in a cure for the small-town blues. It was supposed to be an uncomplicated fling—a few sizzling weeks before he went back to his life, and she moved on.

Until an accidental pregnancy changed her life.

Two years later, she’s made peace with the notion that Dave No-Last-Name will never be found. Until one summer day when he walks into her coffee shop, leveling her with the same hot smile that always renders her defenseless.

Dave Beringer has never forgotten the intense month he spent with prickly Zara. Their nights together were the first true intimacy he’d ever experienced. But the discovery of his child is the shock of a lifetime, and his ugly past puts relationships and family out of reach.

Or does it? Vermont’s countryside has a way of nurturing even tortured souls. The fields and the orchards—and hard won love—are Bountiful.

4.5 Stars

I can't get enough of Ms. Bowen's books and the True North series! Bountiful is a another sweet, sexy and full of surprises read. Each book in this series are stand-alones, but characters do cross over. I highly recommend this series from the beginning, because I just love it! And I think this is my favorite one in the series.

Zara is a fantastic female lead character. She's independent, sassy and does what she wants. And when the mysterious and very sexy Dave walks into her bar on summer--sparks fly! Zara and Dave feel the spark, so they let each other have that one summer together, but no personal info allowed!

And as they part ways--Dave heading back to NYC and Zara just back to her regular life in Vermont, an unexpected surprise happens to Zara. Yep, you read it in the synopsis--an unexpected baby on the way and getting a hold of her summer fling is impossible. Zara has been dealing with single motherhood just fine, with the help of her family.

But guess who walks in Zara and baby Nicole's life two years later and doesn't have a clue about his summer romp that left him as a Daddy? That's right, Dave is back and more then ever, he's determine to take full responsibility to make it right.

Bountiful will make you swoon over this unique family relationship. Another great read.

Excerpt Reveal A LITTLE TOO LATE by Staci Hart

SBPRBanner-ALTL-ER

A Little Too Late, an all-new romantic standalone from Staci Hart is coming October 24th!

A Little Too Late by Staci Hart

Publishing Date: October 24th, 2017

I wasn't supposed to fall in love with the nanny.

When my wife left, she took the illusion of happiness with her, and I've been caught in a free fall ever since. For nine long months, I've been fighting to figure out how to be a single dad, how to be alone.

For nine long months, I've been failing.

When Hannah walked through the door, I took my first breath since I'd found myself on my own. She slipped into our lives effortlessly, showing me what I've been missing all these years. Because Hannah made me smile when I thought I'd packed the notion of happiness away with my wedding album.

She was only supposed to be the nanny, but she's so much more.

The day my wife left should have been the worst day of my life, but it wasn't. It was when Hannah walked away, taking my heart with her.

Hannah The first time I saw Charlie Parker, I didn’t see one thing at a time; I saw all of him. It was an assault on my senses, an overwhelming tide of awareness, and for a moment, the details came to me in flashes over what was probably only a few seconds but felt so much longer. His hair was blond and gently mussed, his face long and nose elegant. I could smell him, clean and fresh with just a touch of spice I couldn’t place. I tipped my chin up—he was tall, taller than me, and I hovered just at six feet—and met his eyes, earthy and brown and so deep. So very deep. And then he smiled. He was handsome when he wasn’t smiling. He was stunning when he was. I was so lost in that smile, I didn’t register the flying gob until it whapped against my sweater. Tiny splatters of something cold speckled my neck. This was the moment the clock started again, and the sweet serenity slipped directly into chaos. A blond little boy looked up at me from his father’s side with a devilish gleam in his dark eyes. The spoon in his hand was covered in blood-red jam and aimed at me like an empty catapult. Several things happened at once. Charlie’s face morphed into embarrassed frustration as he reached for who I presumed to be his son. The boy—Sam, I guessed from the names I’d been given by the agency—spun around lightning fast and took off down the hallway, giggling. Another child began to cry from somewhere back in the house, and a bowl clattered to the ground, followed by a hissed swear from what sounded like an older woman. I glanced down at the sliding, sticky mess against my white sweater and started to laugh. Charlie’s head swiveled back to me, his face first colored with confusion, then in horror as he looked at the Pollock painting on my sweater. “Oh my God,” he breathed, his apologetic, wide eyes dragging down my body. “Jesus, I am so sorry.” I was still laughing, almost a little hysterical. I couldn’t even tell you why. I waved a hand at Charlie, and he took my elbow, guiding me into the house as I caught my breath. Another crash came from the kitchen, and a little girl came toddling out into the entry, leaving powdery footprints on the hardwood. Charlie’s face screwed up. “Sam!” he called, stretching the word, a drawn-out promise of consequences. A riot of giggling broke out in the kitchen. We both snapped into motion. I followed him as he scooped up his crying daughter and stormed toward the kitchen. The little girl watched me over his shoulder with big brown eyes, her breath hitching in little shudders and her small finger hooked in her mouth. Charlie stopped so abruptly, I almost ran into him. When I looked around him and into the kitchen, my mouth opened. I covered it with my fingers as laughter bubbled up my throat. A bag of flour sat in the middle of the floor, the white powder thrown in bursts against the surrounding surfaces and hanging in the air like smoke. The floor next to the bag was the only clean spot, shaped like a small bottom—the little girl’s, I supposed. A bowl lay upside down, its contents oozing from under the rim and slung in a ring from ceiling to cabinet to floor, as if it had completed a masterful flip on its way to its demise. And in the center of the madness stood an older woman with flour in her dark hair and dusted down the front of her. Clutched under her arm was a wriggling Sam, offending spoon still in hand. Her face was kind but tight with exasperation. “Please tell me this is the new nanny,” she said flatly. “I doubt we could convince her to stay at this point,” he said with equal flatness. Sweet Time (Sugar Rush, #4) by Nina Lane

Stuck in a boring insurance job, vivacious Mia Donovan has spent the last few years searching for her life's true path. She fills her time helping plan the wedding of her best friend to the CEO of the Sugar Rush Candy Company.

Mia has also been trying to attract the impossibly rigid Sugar Rush security chief Gavin Knight. But for well over a year, the unyielding Mr. Knight has ignored her, despite her short skirts, tight sweaters, and patently obvious flirting. And when he finally approaches her, it's only to assess the wedding plans for potential security risks.

A former soldier, Gavin has intercepted hostile anonymous letters threatening the high-profile wedding. Determined to keep everyone safe, he's forced to work with the maddeningly sexy Miss Donovan of the thousand-watt charm and irresistible body.

Irked by Gavin's many months of disregard, Mia takes her teasing flirtations to a whole new level. But her coquettish ways are no match for the edgy, lust-fueled dominant he conceals behind his impassive exterior. And when Gavin exerts his full control, Mia discovers he can protect everything except her heart.

A smile curved her mouth. She stretched one leg over him and straddled his waist. With her nipples poking out of her bra, her skin flushed and her hair a waterfall of gold, he could have stared at her for hours if he weren’t about to implode with lust. He pinched her rosy nipples and twisted the strap of her bra.
“Take this off,” he ordered. “I want you naked.”
She shed her bra, revealing her perfect round breasts. She braced her hands on the mattress and leaned in to kiss him deeply, her tongue tracing the line of his lips. He slid his hands down to grasp her ass, working one finger between her cheeks. She inhaled sharply, but didn’t protest, arching her back like she wanted more.
He’d give her more. And despite her willingness, it might be more than she could handle. More than she could take.
“Wait,” she whispered, wiggling back so she was straddling his thighs. “Where are the condoms?”
“Drawer in the nightstand.”
She reached over to retrieve one and took her sweet time sheathing his dick. By the time she was done, his teeth were clenched from the light, tickling touch of her fingers.
He grasped her hips. “Ride me.”
Mia bit her lip, a flush rising to her cheekbones. For a second he thought she’d decline, but she lifted herself up, her hand circling the base of his cock as she positioned herself.
Then she sank onto him, and the world exploded into the hot, tight clench of her pussy, the sound of her low groan, the clench of her knees around his hips. A flash of pain crossed her face before it was replaced with heavy lust. Heat sizzled through the air. She curled her fingers into his chest and started to move.
“Oh my God.” Her breath grew fast, her astonished gaze still holding his. “I feel you so deep, all the way up here.”
She pressed one hand to her belly and shifted again, working her gorgeous body up and down on his cock. He dug his fingers into her hips. His jaw clenched to the point of pain. He fought the urge to thrust, to drive them both to the edge. She was a fucking goddess, her tits bouncing, her body flexing and writhing, sweat glistening on her skin.
“Faster.” He bit out the order, his blood on fire.
She leaned forward, her hair falling in curtains on either side of her face, her little panting breaths puffing against his neck. Her eyes darkened with hunger and urgency.
“I need it, Gavin,” she whispered, her teeth capturing her lower lip again. “I need to come with you inside me, hard and deep and… oh God…”
“That’s right.” He grabbed her waist and thrust upward, needing to be inside her as far as he could. “Get yourself off… Christ, you’re incredible, all soft tight heat… you’re going to jerk me off, cover your little pussy with my come…”
A shudder rocked through her. She braced her hands on his chest and moved faster. Breathy cries came from her parted lips.
“I want you to do it first,” she gasped, sliding up and down his cock like a well-oiled piston. “Mark me.”
She moved off him before he could stop her, her chest heaving as she slid back to sit on his thighs. She rolled the condom off his erection and stroked, her tapered fingers moving up and down his aching shaft, her thumb caressing the swollen crown.
“Do it, Gavin.” Her voice was husky and threaded with anticipation. “Come on my pussy. Give me everything you have.”
“Ah, shit.” Every part of him tensed. Fiery pressure built. He gripped her smooth thighs and thrust into her fist. “So goddamned close… harder… now… .fuck.”
Heat exploded through him, jets of come splashing over her belly. She gasped, her fist still working his dick until the sensations ebbed. He groaned, sinking against the pillows.
“That’s so fucking sexy,” she whispered, releasing him only to slide her fingers through the mess coating her skin. “I love how you feel on me.”
“Get yourself off for me.” He stroked his hands up and down her smooth, damp thighs. “I want to watch you.”
Shivering, she slipped one hand between her legs and brought the other to her breasts. She twisted her pink nipple and worked her fingers on her clit. Much as he wanted to delve his fingers into her slippery heat again, he restrained himself from reaching for her.
He couldn’t take his eyes off the sight of her touching herself, her body sleek and soft. She threw her head back, her hair spilling over her shoulders. Moaning, she moved her fingers more frantically, her body tensing with need.
“Gavin,” she gasped. “I feel it… I still feel you… oh God, I’m going to… ah!”
A high, keening cry broke from her throat as her body shook, her hand still rubbing her clit. Fucking gorgeous sight, spearing him with fresh lust.
“Oh fuck.” She groaned, collapsing on top of him in a hot, sweet bundle of softness. “That was amazing. My ass is still sore from your hand, and I swear that made me come even harder.”
He gave a short laugh. Yeah, he’d lost the battle all right. He was about to lose the whole fucking war. And never before had he wanted to surrender.

4 Sweet Stars!

I've been waiting for Gavin and Mia's story since we've meet them in the first book with Luke and Polly! And I was not disappointed in Sweet Time. Gavin came off mysterious, moody and not very social, but all he needed was the right woman to bring light into his life and Mia is his perfect match.

I loved Mia's character. She wasn't perfect, but she was fun, flirty and loyal to her friends. She wanted to find a direction in her life and in love. So flirting with Gavin Knight for a year hasn't her gotten anywhere, so it was time to move on. But she was surprised by Gavin's attraction toward her, when they worked together for Polly and Luke's wedding.

With their attraction and chemistry, these two really tried to make it work. But with Gavin's issues and outside danger made it hard for them to get it right (don't worry...there is a HEA). Gavin had to learn to open up and Mia just needed to be there, even when he pushed her away.

Sweet Time is sexy, sweet and has a little bit of angst. It's the perfect read for fans of this series and author!

Molly Harper brings her signature “clever humor, snark, silliness, and endearing protagonists” (Booklist) to the charming small town of Lake Sackett, Georgia with the new Southern Eclectic series.

Carl and Marianne were high school sweethearts, loving the way only teenagers can—with no thought to logic or pride, just a bone-headed, optimistic frenzy of unicorns and hormones. That was all they needed. Or so Carl thought.

Scared of being stuck in Lake Sackett, Georgia, like so many of her friends—without a real shot at a future or achieving her own dreams—Marianne panicked and bolted to college after stomping Carl’s heart into the high grass. But when she returns to Lake Sackett for the summer with her family after years away, she and Carl are drawn together like moths to a flame. As they rekindle their old romance and remember what it was like to be in love, they have to wonder: is this, finally, their real chance at happiness?

Perfect for fans of Kristan Higgins and Amy E. Reichert, this warmhearted and witty love story introduces Molly Harper’s new Southern Eclectic series set in the small town of Lake Sackett, Georgia. This story about second chances proves that “Molly Harper never lets the reader down with her delightfully entertaining stories. Humor, emotions, and romance are cleverly matched, and her likable characters are most appealing”

4 Stars

Oh this synopsis had me gasping--"Late husband's twin brother" --I wasn't sure how this story was going to play out, but I loved every page.

Hannah lost her husband, Drew, unexpectedly. She's been grieving and trying to maintain a normal life for her young daughter, Abby. So when her late husband twin brother is back in town, things get more complicated for her. Wes and Hannah are grieving the loss of a husband and brother. Together, they understand the loss and spending time with each other just causes more confusion. And talk among family and the people are town!

I enjoyed reading Hannah's POV. You really could feel her grief through the pages and then watching her fall in love all over again. And Wes, couldn't have been more perfect. I think people have more than one great loves in a lifetime and it's exactly what happened with Hannah and Wes. Life threw them a curve ball and they faced it with each other--out of respect by all parties!
