Dream Spinner (Dream Team #3) by Kristen Ashley

In this steamy and emotional contemporary romance from a New York Times bestselling author, two damaged souls must overcome the pain of their pasts to have the love they've always dreamed of.

Hattie Yates has finally met the man of her dreams. Yet years of abuse from her demanding father have left her petrified of disappointment. She’s already failed to reach her goal of becoming a professional ballerina—she can’t handle the terrible consequences of another dream becoming a nightmare. But when a stalker sets their sights on Hattie, there’s only one man she dares to hope can help . . .

Axl Pantera knows Hattie is the only woman for him. Yet despite the attraction burning between them, Hattie refuses to let him in. The former soldier is determined to woo her into letting down her walls. And when danger comes calling, he’s up against more than her wary and bruised heart. Axl will do anything to prove to Hattie that they’re meant to be, but first, he’ll need to keep her safe.

4 Stars

Let's start off with Axl Pantera - what a kick ass name! And he's everything and that - he's sweet, protective and knows what he wants and that is Hattie Yates!

We've meet Hattie, the quiet friend, who dances professional, but also has a secret talent as an artist. She's been keeping Axl at a distant, but when some weirdo starts to send Hattie creepy messages, Axl steps in.

These two are so cute, their chemistry is off the chart. He's so protective over Hattie, you just couldn't help fall for Axl at every turn of the page. And being back with all the past characters from Hawk and Lee's crew was a bonus and added more drama and mystery to the storyline. But I will say, Cleo, is my favorite side character of all - meow!

Ms. Ashley does it again with this series, every time I open up a book (ok, turn on my Kindle) of hers, I can't put it down and once I finish, she leaves me wanting more with the next book and series!

The Road Trip by Beth O'Leary

Addie and her sister are about to embark on an epic road trip to a friend's wedding in the north of Scotland. The playlist is all planned and the snacks are packed.

But, not long after setting off, a car slams into the back of theirs. The driver is none other than Addie's ex, Dylan, who she's avoided since their traumatic break-up two years earlier.

Dylan and his best mate are heading to the wedding too, and they've totalled their car, so Addie has no choice but to offer them a ride. The car is soon jam-packed full of luggage and secrets, and with three hundred miles ahead of them, Dylan and Addie can't avoid confronting the very messy history of their relationship...

Will they make it to the wedding on time? And, more importantly... is this really the end of the road for Addie and Dylan?

4 Stars

This book is not what I expected. It was even more! The Road Trip by Beth O'Leary is the first book I've read from this author and now I am a fan.

This book is the ultimate 'road trip' book - it's a fun, humorous with an unexpecting twist to it! What I enjoyed is the present and past story about Dylan and Addie's relationship - the way the author wrote their story, really worked and made you feel how they fell in love since day one and ended up breaking up.

Their story isn't perfect and the road trip is not the perfect reunion - there are plenty of grudges, resentment and unfinished business between Dylan and Addie. And that is what makes this read emotional.

The Road Trip is a great second chance story that will make you feel ever emotion these characters went through.
