Lies. Heartbreak.

Betrayal.

No one knew the devastation of those three words more than Faith Winston and five years ago, she endured every one of them. All she wanted was to feel safe and marry the very man who promised to love her and protect her, Ryker Knight.

redemption 1-2
But growing up in the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, she should have known she couldn’t have a happy ending. Instead, her world became a nightmare. The bikers—her family—abandoned her, leaving her to crash without their safety net.

Ryker Knight has spent the last five years consumed with guilt, running from the ghosts that haunt him. That is until his past catches up with him the moment his brother needs his help. Returning home to Jasper Bay, he’s forced to face the same ghosts he was running from. Only to find that the woman he loved is trapped in a hell of her own, entrenched behind enemy lines —and it’s all his fault.

And even though Ryker’s life comes with priorities that he can’t – and won’t - turn his back on, he refuses to leave Jasper Bay until he’s found Faith.
But will she want to return to the life she’s always wanted even if Ryker is no longer capable of giving her what he once promised?

3.5 Rock Stars

Jimmy! Such a complicated and moody Rock Star. I love the Stage Dive series. They are such an eclectic band. Jimmy is David's brother. He's a "disaster"; he truly lives the rock star lifestyle and it eventually catches up to him. He hits rock bottom and ends up in rehab. While he is out, the band hires him an "assistant" to keep an eye out for him. He goes through many, because he's impossible to work for and with!

But in comes Lena. A spunky, sassy woman who knows what she wants and stands her ground. She falls into becoming Jimmy's assistant by Mal--which was great. I still love Mal's sense of humor! Lena tells him like it is and for some reason it works between the two (he's still impossible to put up with).

Overtime, Lena begins to figure out Jimmy isn't a broken rock star that has issues after issues. She slowly discovers the real Jimmy--a  man who fiercely protects his brother and band mates. He becomes a good friend, but soon finds herself attracted to him.

Finding out that Lena is crushing on him, he tries everything to help her get over "her crush!" Most of the book, Jimmy is an asshole and acts like a 5-year old, he drove me nuts and at times I wanted Lena to just let him go, he's so not worth it. But there was a chemistry between the two, that you couldn't deny while reading this book..

Lead is a good rock star book is filled with angst and chaos (and hotness!). It's another great add to this fantastic series! I can't wait to read more on the next band member!

Blog Tour Stop: Tamed (Tangled #3) by Emma Chase

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.

It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.

When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special—I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.

You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.

It’s how we got there.

TAMED goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions—it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.

4.5 Stars

Emma Chase did it again! Do I dare say I love Matthew more than Drew? Gasp!

Tamed made me laugh out loud! Matthew's thoughts, his idea of relationships and women was fantastic--just a typical guy trying to get laid.! But when he met his match in Dee, all his ideas of the easy, perfect girl goes out the window.

We got to know a little bit about Matthew and Dee in the previous books in the series and getting to read their story and how they hooked up was written brilliantly in this book.

Matthew instantly is attracted to Dee when they first meet. And how can we all forget the most famous line out of Matthew's mouth:

“Delores is a gorgeous name, for a gorgeous girl. Plus, it rhymes with clitoris…and I really know my way around them. Big fan.”

I pretty much snorted when I read that part. These two hit it off fast (literally). They both continue to see each other, but wanting "no strings attached." But after getting to know each other, feelings blossom. Easy for Matthew--he comes off as a ladies man, but he truly is caring and gentle. Dee becomes a hard nut to crack for Matthew. She has hang ups and secrets that prevents her from love and falling for Matthew.

Tamed is filled with plenty of laughter, sexiness, angst and some heartbreak. But don't fear, Matthew and Dee's journey to a HEA is one that I won't forget in a long time.

And seriously, we get more Drew in this book and his awesome, funny niece, Mackenzie. I can't get enough of that swear jar!

She puts on the helmet, but doesn’t climb on the Ducati right away. She stands on the sidewalk, hands on her hips, looking thoughtfully at it. “What would you say if I said I wanted to drive your motorcycle to the party?”

“I’d say you’re shit out of luck. I don’t ride bitch.”
She knocks me upside the head—but my helmet softens the blow. “Then let me take it for a ride myself. Just around the block.”

“I . . .don’t think so.”

She pouts.

I sigh. “Have you ever driven a motorcycle before?”

“No, but I’ve always wanted to.”

“Well, I’ve always wanted to fly, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna strap on a squirrel suit and skydive from the god damn Empire State Building.”

She steps closer, and rubs her placating hands up my chest. “Come on, please? I’ll be really careful and grateful. Really grateful. Like . . .deviantly, let you handcuff me to the bed, kind of grateful.”
Forget the national broadcast system—this is the test. Am I going to stick to my man-guns, keep my pride, and protect my cherished vehicle from almost certain carnage? Or, am I going to be ruled by my dick and swayed by the promise of kinky, have-Dee-at-my-mercy-all-night-long, sex?

No contest.

“Riding bitch, it is.”

Cover Reveal: Hard Knox (The Outsider Chronicles, #1) by Nicole Williams

A New Series by NYT Bestselling Author Nicole Williams

The Outsider Chronicles, #1
New Adult/Adult Contemporary
Releasing August 12, 2014
Cover designed by Okay Creations

Knox Jagger. The name inspires resent in every male at Sinclair University, want in every female, and contempt in Charlie Chase.

Charlie can be summed up in three words: independent, independent, and independent. To Charlie, Knox epitomizes everything that’s wrong with college males: prolific one-night stands, drunken senseless fights, and a body that hints at prioritizing gym time over study time.

As an up-and-coming writer for Sinclair University’s newspaper, Charlie’s tasked with getting to the bottom of who’s been dropping little white pills into girls’ drinks at parties. In an ocean of All-American boys sporting polo shirts and innocent smiles, Knox is the obvious suspect. As evidence piles up against the bad boy of Sinclair, Charlie becomes more and more certain it isn’t Knox. But when her drink is dosed at a party and she wakes up on Knox’s couch the next morning, Charlie’s left with more questions than answers when it comes to Knox Jagger.

How can Charlie ever hope to uncover the truth behind a guy so closed off he’s become . . .

Hard Knox.

More Than Forever (#4) by Jay McLean--Blog Tour Stop

-LUCY-
There is a love so fierce it cannot be measured.
A heart so strong it will never slow.
There is a promise so sure it can never lie.
He promised me that love forever.
Even when it wasn't enough.

-CAMERON-
Forever. Everlasting. Eternal.
There is no measure of time.
No sounds of the ticking of a clock.
Just the rising and falling of the sun.
And our own sense of forever.

But our forever isn't always.

Karmen's Review of More Than Forever
5 MILLION FOREVER STARS

"Crud bucket!" Logan and Amanda were always my top "persons." They were my favorite couple from The More series, but Jay McLean, you, just made me more than love Cam and Lucy.

I laughed and cried so many times for my Team Luca. I can simply say this book was true perfection. Lucy and Cam were so real. I felt heartbreak, pain and true love throughout this book.

We've always known Lucy and Cam as the fun, crazy, care-free couple from the past books (we all love Drunk Lucy!), but these two were so much more than that.

Lucy's story is heartbreaking, knowing how her family (particularly her dad) fell apart after the death of their mother. Lucy became empty and just took care of her family. That's until Cameron came over to help, and for no reason at all--well he had a reason--Lucy. And Cam...what a perfect guy. He was raised right by his mom and his mom's boyfriend--I loved his family dynamics.

Cam and Lucy's story of falling in love at the age of fifteen is the ultimate romantic story ever. Cam made Lucy better; he made her laugh, helped take care of her brothers and more importantly he made her fall in love. Reading how these two grew up throughout high school and on to college was amazing. Again, not all love is forever and Lucy and Cam were no exception--it was their own forever.  Their love and relationship wasn't always perfect in this book, but it was real.

I can't tell you how much I adored Lucy and Cam. And I'm going to say it...and I feel like I'm betraying my Logan and Amanda, but Cam and Lucy's story is the best one in this amazing, amazing, amazing series! This will be my forever go-to-re-read! Thank you Jay for bringing these two to life!

Getting out of my hold, she walks back to the bus. She sticks her head inside and looks around before turning to me. "The day you get your license…" She takes two steps to cover the distance between us. "You pick me up and take me somewhere secluded, and we make out in the back. For hours."

My eyes go huge and I slowly nod. "That can be arranged."

She smiles. "And I'm talking full on making out, Cameron. I mean, I want you shirtless and horizontal." I try not to look down at my shorts; positive I'm sporting a semi. She continues, "And I want to be shirtless and you better be touching boob."

I choke on air.

She giggles, and then crosses her arms over her breasts. "Deal?"

I think I agree, but I can't be sure, because now all I can think about is boob. I place my hands on her waist and gently push her until she's against the bus. And then I kiss her.

Her hands go to my hair, tugging a little, and bringing me closer to her.

And we kiss.
When she finally loosens her hold, I pull back. She kisses me once, and then sighs. "You really bought this bus, huh?" I nod.

"So that you can help me out with my brothers?" I nod again. "Of course, Luce, you're my girl. It's my job to take care of you."

Her eyes glaze over with tears again. I wanted to kick myself for making her cry. But before I can say anything, she wraps her arm around my neck and brings me down for another quick kiss. She pulls away and says, "I really like you, Cameron." I grin.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah," she says dreamily. And then my heart begins to race. My palms begin to sweat. And all I can hear is the blood pumping in my ears. "Good," I respond, and then inhale a huge breath. "Because I'm kind of in love with you, Lucy." Her eyes bug out. Her jaw drops to the floor. "What?" she breathes out. I lift my chin and fake a confidence that doesn't exist. "You heard me."

Silence.

It's the longest three seconds of my life.

Then finally, "Cameron, I love you so much."

And then she kisses me.

Five weeks, three days and eight hours later, I touch boob.
