3.5 Rock Stars

Jimmy! Such a complicated and moody Rock Star. I love the Stage Dive series. They are such an eclectic band. Jimmy is David's brother. He's a "disaster"; he truly lives the rock star lifestyle and it eventually catches up to him. He hits rock bottom and ends up in rehab. While he is out, the band hires him an "assistant" to keep an eye out for him. He goes through many, because he's impossible to work for and with!

But in comes Lena. A spunky, sassy woman who knows what she wants and stands her ground. She falls into becoming Jimmy's assistant by Mal--which was great. I still love Mal's sense of humor! Lena tells him like it is and for some reason it works between the two (he's still impossible to put up with).

Overtime, Lena begins to figure out Jimmy isn't a broken rock star that has issues after issues. She slowly discovers the real Jimmy--a  man who fiercely protects his brother and band mates. He becomes a good friend, but soon finds herself attracted to him. 

Finding out that Lena is crushing on him, he tries everything to help her get over "her crush!" Most of the book, Jimmy is an asshole and acts like a 5-year old, he drove me nuts and at times I wanted Lena to just let him go, he's so not worth it. But there was a chemistry between the two, that you couldn't deny while reading this book..

Lead is a good rock star book is filled with angst and chaos (and hotness!). It's another great add to this fantastic series! I can't wait to read more on the next band member!

Burning Desire is hot, sexy and just filled with bad ass MCs! This book follows Roxy and Chase. 

Roxy is the princess of the Condemned Angels MC. She's the daughter of the president of the club. She's protected by her father and brother, Jeremy, along with the other members of the Condemned Angels.

Chase DeLuca is  Jeremy's best friend and belongs to another MC, Hell's Rebels. Roxy grew up tagging along with her brother and Chase. Needless to say she's been in love with Chase for years. 

Their attraction is strong, but Chase has been warned by her father to stay away from Roxy. After he broke her heart for keeping his distant, Roxy moves on to college. Years pass and both are grown and the attraction is still there when they run into each other.

Roxy and Chase have a continuous push/pull relationship. Chase tries to stay away from Roxy, but he can't stop thinking about her and protect her. Roxy is involved with another MC member from her Club, but she still attracted to Chase after all these years. 

Roxy gets caught in the crossfire of another MC and it brings a lot of action and suspense in this book. Burning Desire is a quick read and leaves you hanging for more.

About the Author:

Deciding to write books was something I had contemplated for a while. A co-worker of mine had gotten me started me on the 50 Shades Trilogy. I had quickly became absorbed! Reading contemporary romance had become a part of me.

Little did I know that my daughter was a product of the "50 Shades Baby Boom"! I remember going to my doctor's appointment to find out that we were off to labor and delivery- and I didn't download any new books to my kindle! Talk about bummed out! However, I made up for that when I was home for my maternity leave. I believe we read 40+ books while I was home.

I am a full time new mom, and wife. Yes, I do work full time, I am currently doing multiple things, bouncing back after baby, weight watchers, exercising, training for a 5k, reading and writing. So far, I have really enjoyed writing as a hobby.

My work book club, "HE" had consumed us (and by us, I mean 2). We were critics of the stories and characters. I then thought to myself, "hmm, I bet I could write stories just like this, and have them turn out like I'd want them to." Well, joking turned into thinking. Thinking turned into brainstorming. Brainstorming lead to opening a word document and letting my mind explore.

Growing up I had written short stories with friends, and as extra credit for school. This is probably where it all started... I had turned in one of my short stories without re-reading, or editing it completely. I had my paper returned to me saying the "content was inappropriate." Apparently contemporary romance was frowned upon in English class! Oops! So maybe I was destined to become a writer.

I thought to myself that I want to live in this world and make a difference and have a part of me in history after I leave. This is me staying forever young.

Here I will post my journey, it's a learning experience for me, so please bear with me.

I don't know where to start with this review. This book was so mysterious, thrilling, twisted and a real page-turner! I couldn't put this down, till the very end. And THE END of this book...oh my!

Aria, a struggling music student, just trying to make ends meet, comes across a "too-good, to be true" opportunity. And in one night, it changes her entire life. While I was reading this, I kept thinking--"What would I do? Do I just go for it? Is it really that easy?" And honestly, I think I would of I was in Aria's position. 

Needless to say, this opportunity that lands on Aria's lap is from the Midnight Society, a secret "club" that has the most wealthiest members.  I loved how you don't quite know exactly who this club is or what they really do. It keeps you guessing while reading it. And I love Aria's take on it--she is such a typical college girl, just wanting to get by in life and do the right thing. She said what was on her mind.

This one night of opportunity, turns into a life changing chain of events. Not only does she meet Shadow, a broken (and very mysterious) beautiful man, who changes her life, but she starts to live in a whole new world, where everything is handed to her.  I can't (I won't!) go in details of what happens, you just have to trust me and read it. Semblance takes you on a wild, mysterious ride with plenty of surprises. Again, the end blew my mind. I could not believe the Author went there! 

It does have a bit of a cliffhanger (which I am NOT a fan of), but it was a doable. It answered a little of my questions, but there is still so much more to learn.  I cannot wait till book 2 comes out! 

His presence cast a hush throughout the gardens. Shadow strolled towards the three women on their knees, stalking them with an animalistic grace. 

He was ominous, yet electrifying and I found myself trembling just standing in the same vicinity as he was. 

“Your bride awaits you Shadow,” Calisto said to her brother. I glanced around and noticed that everyone had their head bowed in reverence of this man. It was disconcerting and this made me panic. This had to be a cult; there was no other logical explanation in my mind. Any second now, this Shadow fellow was going to pass out the Kool-Aid and we were all going to drink it and die. 

There was still time for me to flee. I could pretend to use the bathroom and then sneak out the window or something. I had no idea where on the map this estate was, but that didn’t matter. I needed to escape and I could figure the rest out later. I looked around to see if anyone else was watching me. 

Damn it, indeed someone was. Calisto’s eyes were deadlocked onto me. I panicked and almost let loose a scream, but managed to contain myself. Thank God for the mask I was wearing, which hid the expressions on my face. Calisto smiled and winked at me, which I thought was a bizarre thing to do. I had no idea what was happening or what to expect, but I desperately wanted to be away from here.

Hello! The cover says it all! How hot is that?  Not only is the cover hot, the story between Vince and Liv is even hotter. We met a younger Vince in the first book, Worth The Fight, and now he is all grown up!

I have to say, I love Vince and Liv's story more than Nico and Elle's! Their friendship takes place in high school--very innocently. Liv was secretly in love with the bad boy Vince, but they never got involved. Vince thought highly of her and is attracted to Liv, but stayed away from her all through school, knowing she could do better.

And boom...seven years later--guess who runs into each other? Vince is now a bad ass MMA fighter and Liv is about the interview her first crush.

I love the innocent, hot chemistry between these two. It's not an easy reunion, there's still a lot of old wounds and questions on why Vince just left. But Vince is determined to make things right, and it's not an easy road, there's a lot trust issues and outside factors that come between the two-- and talk about THE DRAMA! There were plenty of new and old secrets.

Worth the Chance is a great read and a continuation of the series! And for all you Nico and Elle fans, they are in there too, with a surprise bundle of joy waiting for them. Worth The Chance has plenty of angst, steam and twists and turns. I can't wait to read more in this series and hope to get more of Liv and Vince!

Love. Love. Love this book. What a great start to a fantastic series. I'm a huge fan of uber, possessive alpha males (especially a man in a uniform!), and Jaxon Reid fits the bill. Jaxon is arrogant, loyal, protective, and sexy as heck!

Jax and Julia become best friends after he saves her one night and let me just say...I held my breath reading that part! Jax was known as the "town loser" and he never thought he was good enough for her. They continued to  dance around their attraction between each other, but Jax never lets it go any further.  

"Promise me you're not going to leave forever, please!..."

After deciding to get out of  town, Jax joins the Navy and leaves Julia behind. Years go on and these two continue to have a hot/cold relationship and then no contact at all. Until a tragic accident happens and brings Jax back to Julia's doorsteps. 

Being the possessive male he is, Jax tries to win Julia back, but years apart and  a lot of hurt, he has his work cut out! Not only that, there are dangerous outside factors that prevent these two being together! I won't spoil it, but it definitely kept me turning the page, because it was a lot of action.

I'm not better than you Jaxson, I'm better with you.

Fighting Temptation is fabulous read for all you ladies looking for hot and steamy. Not only is it that, but there's plenty of action, drama and suspense filled in this book. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for more this series.
