They Player Next Door is a sweet and sexy read about second chances at love. Second chances are a favorite of mine and Scarlett and Shane didn't disappoint.
Growing up, Scarlet and her mother were always target of bad gossip in their small town. Her mother wasn't the best mom, she had her share of bad decision relationships that ended up affecting Scarlet with her school teachers and peers. But When Shane Beckett, one of the most popular boys in school, asks her out, Scarlet thought her luck would change. Scarlet and Shane spent the summer before senior year together, but out of no where, Shane ghosts hers their senior year.
Getting the heck out of Polson Falls, Scarlet left that life behind her. But when she is offered a teaching job years later, she ends up coming back to the hometown she hated. She bought her perfect fixer upper house and ready to start a new life. That is when she discovered the man who broker her heart all those years ago, ends up being the hottie next door.
