From #1 New York Times bestselling author duo Erin Watt comes the addictive contemporary tale of a teen rock star in need of an image makeover and the teen girl hired to be his fake girlfriend.

Meet Oakley Ford-teen celebrity, renowned pop star, child of famous movie stars, hottie with millions of fangirls… and restless troublemaker. On the surface he has it all, but with his home life disintegrating, his music well suddenly running dry, and the tabloids having a field day over his outrageous exploits, Oakley's team decides it's time for an intervention. The result: an image overhaul, complete with a fake girlfriend meant to show the world he's settled down.

Enter seventeen-year-old Vaughn Bennett-devoted sister, part-time waitress, the definition of "normal." Under ordinary circumstances she'd never have taken this gig, but with her family strapped for cash, she doesn't have much of a choice. And for the money Oakley's team is paying her, she figures she can put up with outlandish Hollywood parties and a team of publicists watching her every move. So what if she thinks Oakley's a shallow, self-centered jerk? It's not like they'
re going to fall for each other in real life…right?

4.5 Hollywood Stars

I am a huge fan of this book! Oakley Ford and Vaughn Bennett were charming, humorous and have great chemistry. When It's Real is all about the truth, gossip and fake news of Hollywood couples!

Oakley Ford is a famous pop star. He's the typical teen dreamboat, but his wild antics is causing his image to take a hit. And also, he's uninspired to write new music and it's going to cause him to fade away in Hollywood. So what does a PR team need to do to get their client back into the spotlight? Tone his bad boy image down by having him date a "normal," non-celebrity teen girl! Sounds easy, right? Only if they picked a "yes sir/mam" kind of girl. And Vaughn Bennett is far from that girl!

Vaughn Bennett is a bright, hard-working seventeen year-old girl. Her and her siblings have gone through a lot and signing a contract to "date" one of the biggest Hollywood stars might sound like an easy pay-out, right? All she has to do is fake a relationship for a year and move-on. But it's not that easy. One reason, Oakley Ford is a cocky, entitled jerk. Their first meet didn't go well and dealing with all his reps has Vaughn feeling out of control.

But you know the saying, opposites attract and eventually this fake relationship might just get real for the both of them. I loved the banter between Oak and Vaughn throughout this book. They both are from different worlds, but they a perfect match. When It's Real is a great read.
