Manacle by far is my favorite in this series. I love and was heartbroken over Skye and Danny's love.
There are couples that were destined to be together and Skye and Danny were one. They were best friends since they were babies, then their friendship turned into love. But getting there was painful.
Danny is stepping up to become President and he wants to share his life and have Skye be his Old Lady. But the MC life that Skye has witnessed over the years scares. She wants more. She wants to know that she'll be safe, Danny will be safe and any kids that she has be safe. But Danny can't guarantee that. He can guarantee that he will be there for her and love her, but has to let her go if she can't accept this life.
This book broke my heart over and over again for Danny. He tried everything to make Skye his, but letting her go was what he had to do, even though it devastated them both. And Skye, I understood where she was coming from and why she wanted to run, but I just knew these two would eventually find their HEA.
