ARC Review: Big Easy Temptation (The Perfect Gentlemen #3) by Shayla Black & Lexi Blake

The New York Times bestselling authors of the Masters of Ménage series present the third scintillating novel featuring the privileged, wealthy, wild men of Creighton Academy—the Perfect Gentlemen.

Years ago, Naval officer Dax Spencer and NCIS agent Holland Kirk indulged in a steamy affair—until she betrayed him in the wake of his father's death. Dax tried to put her behind him with a payback of his own. But he never forgot Holland…

Now, as Dax and his fellow Perfect Gentlemen unravel a web of lies, he discovers his family's tragedy is part of a much larger conspiracy. Soon, all clues point him back to New Orleans…where Holland waits, protecting her deadly secret and holding a torch for the only man she's ever loved.

Once reunited, they can't fight the passion flaring hot and wild. But something sinister lurks around every corner, from the elegance of the Garden district to the beauty of the bayou. Dax and Holland may find their way back to each other—if they survive...

4 Stars

The PG boys are back! And they are back with more scandals, mystery and just pure alpha male hotness. Big Easy Temptation is a page-turner thriller!

Dax Spencer is part of the Perfect Gentlemen and he's determined to find out the truth about his father's mysterious and suspicious suicide years ago. He doesn't believe his father took his own life and the lies that surround it. Holland Kirk has been a good friend of his family and a big crush for him. Their attraction between each other is strong, but she never wanted to take it further. So one night, they act upon it and she then betrays him in the worst way.

Years later, Dax has never forgotten about Holland, and now he's trying to dig through the conspiracy surrounding his father's death and the only person that can help is Holland. Holland is now with the law and after betraying Dax, she left everything behind. Her friendship with Dax's sister and mother, but she never did forget him.

When Dax is back, Holland struggles between her feelings for him and helping him find the truth. The attraction between the two never went away, and  the more they both dig into Dax's fathers "suicide," it doesn't seem to add up.

Big Easy Temptation started a little slow for me in the beginning, but it really started to pick up in the second half. It had me on the edge of finding out the truth and the chemistry between Holland and Dax is off the chart steamy! Always, looking forward for the next story!
