I was warned about Tristan Cole.
“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”
It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.
But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.
We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.
Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

5 Amazing Stars
The Air He Breathes gave me so many feels. Ms. Cherry knows how to pull on your heartstrings. This book takes you on an emotional and amazing journey on how losing loved ones can break you, but finding that one person who knows what you're going through can help you heal. But you have to go through a lot of anger and hurt before you find that happily ever after.
Tristan Cole is known around town as the a-hole. He's mean and cold and will tell you off. Elizabeth is back home after losing her husband and has been warned to stay away from Tristan. But there's something about her new neighbor that has her wanting to get to know him and be a friend.
These two characters suffered a terrible loss and used each other to make each other feel better, but it just wasn't right. They both had to face their loss and learn trust and love again.
Overall, this is another fantastic read by this author and looking forward to more.
