ARC Review: Falling for Danger (Capital Confessions #3) by Chanel Cleeton

The author of Flirting with Scandal presents her third book in a sexy contemporary romance series about three sisters in a powerful political family, the scandals that threaten to destroy them, and the passion that drives them…

Kate Reynolds has just graduated from college and is determined to make it on her own. Her job as a junior political analyst at the CIA is a dream come true and the perfect opportunity to find answers about the night that’s plagued her for four years—the night she lost her fiancé, Matt, on a Special Forces mission in Afghanistan. Kate’s consumed with uncovering the truth and avenging the man she loved and lost, even if it means risking her own life to prove that his death wasn’t an accident.

When she gets too close to discovering what happened that fateful night and danger arrives on her doorstep, Kate’s stunned by the man who comes to her rescue. Together, they begin to dig for the truth, fighting to stay alive as they’re dragged down into a world of secrets and lies. But when the threat hits close to home, Kate must choose between vengeance and a future with the man who’s ignited a fire inside her that she thought died long ago.

5 STARS

Falling For Danger is by far...my favorite book in this series and I loved the first two. I read non-stop and couldn't get to the end fast enough. There is so much to say about this book, but so much I can't without spoiling it.

Kate Reynolds is empty, heartbroken and determined to find out what happened to her fiance, Matt, who was killed in Afghanistan, on a special force mission years ago. She does know one thing...that her father, Senator Reynolds, and Matt's father is involved somehow. And she is will do anything to expose the truth. But little does she know how deep the secrets go and dangerous! And a big UGH--on how ruthless Senator Reynolds is!

Kate and Matt's love story started when they were kids and it grew over the years. I loved the beginning of this book, it shared with us the start of their relationship as more than friends. Ms. Cleeton really showed how much chemistry that these two had right off the bat. I connected with these characters immediately.

As I said before, I can't go into this book without spoiling the beginning and ruining the entire story. But I was happy and shocked to find out who landed on Kate's doorstep and it just made the story even better! Falling For Danger is filled with so much political drama, mystery and intense action.
