Blog Tour Stop: Tug by KJ Bell

**Tug's character was introduced in KJ Bell's debut Irreparable series. However, TUG is not part of the series and can be read without reading the other two books beforehand.**

Aidan Hunter lost the only girl he ever loved to his older brother. To numb his pain, he drinks in excess, parties too hard, and sleeps with countless women. When his family expresses concern, he does what he's been taught to do—fake it and pretend his life is perfect. Pretend he loves his new girl and pretend his heart isn’t broken.

Maria Santiago is simply trying to survive each day until she finishes college. As a single mother, life is a constant struggle. Add running from a dangerous past and working in the oldest profession, and all she has is hope for a better life. Hope one day she will no longer feel shame and hope her past never catches up with her.

After Aidan pays to spend one wild night with Maria, pretending to be unaffected by her is impossible. Their night comes to an explosive end and Maria hopes she never sees him again, but Aidan refuses to give up. As Maria begins to accept that Aidan’s feelings for her are genuine, someone from her past threatens her life. Aidan’s not intimidated and takes a huge risk to protect her.

Will the risk pay off and allow Aidan the opportunity to provide Maria with the better life she’s been hoping for?

3.5 Stars

Tug is a roller-coaster of emotions book. I hated Aidan (aka Tug), then I loved him. He was an a-hole, then he was a good guy. This guy was all over the place!

Tug is so hung up on the past he can't seem to move on. He is angry and wants to hurt those who love him. But as much as he hurts his family, they continue to be there for him. Tug is notorious for sleeping around and just being a plain d-ck!

Maria is such a great character. She's strong, knows what she has to do to get by and willing to take care of her family no matter what--they always come first!  Tug meets Maria and can't stop thinking about. They continue to run into each through mutual friends/family and Tug is persistent on winning Maria.

Knowing his past and what he does to her (OMG!) she is hesitant of his intentions. Tug is filled with a wild ride of secrets, action and yes...a cliffhanger. But don't worry, there are plenty of steamy moments that makes you forget about that non-ending! Tug and Maria are hot!

I'm excited to see how their story goes in the next book, hoping that a HEA is in store for them!

Blog Tour Stop: More Than Forever (#4) by Jay McClean

-LUCY-
There is a love so fierce it cannot be measured.
A heart so strong it will never slow.
There is a promise so sure it can never lie.
He promised me that love forever.
Even when it wasn't enough.

-CAMERON-
Forever. Everlasting. Eternal.
There is no measure of time.
No sounds of the ticking of a clock.
Just the rising and falling of the sun.
And our own sense of forever.

But our forever isn't always.

Karmen's Review of More Than Forever
5 MILLION FOREVER STARS

"Crud bucket!" Logan and Amanda were always my top "persons." They were my favorite couple from The More series, but Jay McLean, you, just made me more than love Cam and Lucy.

I laughed and cried so many times for my Team Luca. I can simply say this book was true perfection. Lucy and Cam were so real. I felt heartbreak, pain and true love throughout this book.

We've always known Lucy and Cam as the fun, crazy, care-free couple from the past books (we all love Drunk Lucy!), but these two were so much more than that.

Lucy's story is heartbreaking, knowing how her family (particularly her dad) fell apart after the death of their mother. Lucy became empty and just took care of her family. That's until Cameron came over to help, and for no reason at all--well he had a reason--Lucy. And Cam...what a perfect guy. He was raised right by his mom and his mom's boyfriend--I loved his family dynamics.

Cam and Lucy's story of falling in love at the age of fifteen is the ultimate romantic story ever. Cam made Lucy better; he made her laugh, helped take care of her brothers and more importantly he made her fall in love. Reading how these two grew up throughout high school and on to college was amazing. Again, not all love is forever and Lucy and Cam were no exception--it was their own forever.  Their love and relationship wasn't always perfect in this book, but it was real.

I can't tell you how much I adored Lucy and Cam. And I'm going to say it...and I feel like I'm betraying my Logan and Amanda, but Cam and Lucy's story is the best one in this amazing, amazing, amazing series! This will be my forever go-to-re-read! Thank you Jay for bringing these two to life!

Getting out of my hold, she walks back to the bus. She sticks her head inside and looks around before turning to me. "The day you get your license…" She takes two steps to cover the distance between us. "You pick me up and take me somewhere secluded, and we make out in the back. For hours."

My eyes go huge and I slowly nod. "That can be arranged."

She smiles. "And I'm talking full on making out, Cameron. I mean, I want you shirtless and horizontal." I try not to look down at my shorts; positive I'm sporting a semi. She continues, "And I want to be shirtless and you better be touching boob."

I choke on air.

She giggles, and then crosses her arms over her breasts. "Deal?"

I think I agree, but I can't be sure, because now all I can think about is boob. I place my hands on her waist and gently push her until she's against the bus. And then I kiss her.

Her hands go to my hair, tugging a little, and bringing me closer to her.

And we kiss.
When she finally loosens her hold, I pull back. She kisses me once, and then sighs. "You really bought this bus, huh?" I nod.

"So that you can help me out with my brothers?" I nod again. "Of course, Luce, you're my girl. It's my job to take care of you."

Her eyes glaze over with tears again. I wanted to kick myself for making her cry. But before I can say anything, she wraps her arm around my neck and brings me down for another quick kiss. She pulls away and says, "I really like you, Cameron." I grin.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah," she says dreamily. And then my heart begins to race. My palms begin to sweat. And all I can hear is the blood pumping in my ears. "Good," I respond, and then inhale a huge breath. "Because I'm kind of in love with you, Lucy." Her eyes bug out. Her jaw drops to the floor. "What?" she breathes out. I lift my chin and fake a confidence that doesn't exist. "You heard me."

Silence.

It's the longest three seconds of my life.

Then finally, "Cameron, I love you so much."

And then she kisses me.

Five weeks, three days and eight hours later, I touch boob.

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.

Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.

Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It’s her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.

Cover Reveal: Worth Forgiving (#3 MMA Series) by Vi Keeland

Cover designed by Romcon.com
Model: Jamie Dominic
Photographer: Jamie Dominic Photography
Genre: A New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance novel

RELEASE DATE: August 21, 2014

They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom.

I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight.

A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom. Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be.

As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.

But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

Blog Tour Stop: Raven by Ashley Suzanne

Synopsis
If I would have known then what I know now.

If I would have known that having my heart broken at thirteen by my one and only friend, Garrett Rhodes, would never compare to the empty feeling at sixteen when I buried my mother.

If I would have known that changing schools in my senior year would throw all that back in my face.

If someone would have told me that when you drink a fifth a night and get in bar fights at twenty one, I’d end up in jail … again.

Maybe … just maybe … I wouldn’t be in the hell storm I’m living in these days. Letting my past dictate my future, allowing the best of the best male MMA fighters bully me day in and day out and knowing no matter what I do, Garrett will always be the only man that understands me. I didn’t have to live this way. One day changed the course of my life forever.

Through all this mess, the one thing that I’ve found that keeps me centered … martial arts. And I’m damn good. If only someone would give me a chance to prove my worth.

All I can do now is make the best of it and try to not let the fight consume me.

There was definitely something heartbreaking and beautiful about this story. Rian lived a tough life. She was sheltered by her mother and wasn't the most popular girl growing up. She was bullied and an outcast. That is until she met her soon-to-be best friend, Garrett. He was protective of her. But just like everyone else in her life, they left her (some not by choice).

Rian felt abandoned  by everyone she loves, especially after a tragic accident with her family. She moves years later and unexpectedly runs into an older, Garrett. They immediately start where they left off when growing up. But time changes and outside events again tears them apart.

Thrown back together again years later, these two are both different and bitter at life. And to each other.  But their reunion is filled with plenty of angst and action. Raven is about forgiving and learning to move forward. I did love the epligoue.

Excerpt

Prologue

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman, you’re gonna wanna get in our next contender’s pants … show some love for our hometown legend, The Switch Hitter!” I snort at the name, expecting to walk out and see a fighter carrying a baseball bat. What do ya know? No bat in sight. Extra reinforcements might not have been a bad idea since I’m on fire and ready to bust the bricks off this clown.

Waiting for the emcee to call my name, I think of all the crazy things in my life that have led me to this point. I’ve experienced more than any one person should by the age of barely twenty-two—few happy moments surrounded by almost constant anguish. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?

“Being escorted to the cage by the most badass entourage I’ve seen tonight, all the way from Corbin, Kentucky … the newest fighter this side of the Mississippi … The Raven!” At least my name makes sense. Ravens are known for being alone, having no problem flying solo. That’s what I’ve done for the past four years anyway.

After my announcement, the crowd erupts into cheers that I can hear loud and clear, even over the song streaming out of my iPod through my ear buds. Bouncing back and forth on the balls of my feet, I crane my neck side to side, examining the mass of people. It’s a good sized crowd for this venue. I sometimes wonder if these guys come to watch the fights for the love of the sport or because they like to see the ring girls walking around, barely dressed, carrying signs to designate what round we’re in. Oh well, they paid their cover and that money, if all goes according to plan, will be in my pocket later tonight.

With my coaches leading the way, I follow, bobbing my head to Down with the Sickness by Disturbed, mentally preparing myself. I run over everything I’ve been taught over the last year—how to get out of a submission hold, finding opportunities to take my opponent down, remembering not to be a cocky asshole.

It took a lot of convincing for Zan to let me fight tonight. He’s not the kind father figure he portrays himself to be. He says he loves and supports his “children”, but deep down he’d rather me not get in that cage. I know damn well if I blow my first match, it’s going to be a long time, if ever, until he puts me on another card.

“You ready for this?” Zan asks, pulling out one of my ear buds.

Smirking, I eye up my competition that’s already inside the cage—a small, tiny thing that doesn’t look to have much muscle mass. I got this. Standing on the opposite side of the mat surrounded by coaches, glancing in my direction, the slightest tinge of fear flashes across those brown eyes, similar to mine. Physically, I’m not very intimidating—weighing in at average weight for my class with an average stature to match, but the menace written across my face is an entirely different situation.

Since my first introduction into the world of mixed martial arts, it’s all I can think about. It may be cliché, but I live, breathe and sleep MMA. It’s the one place I have any control. Nobody can take a match from me unless I allow them to, and my opponent isn’t going to walk away with anything … maybe disappointment, but I’m taking the purse. I already know I want it more; I can taste the victory and it’s going to be as sweet as I imagine it to be.

Stepping into the steel cage, I shrug my midnight blue robe off, right into the hands of my coach. Wearing standard MMA gear and my hair pulled back tight, I walk straight to the official who checks my taped hands. Once cleared, I step back to Zan who pops my mouth guard in for me, pats me on the shoulder and whispers in my ear, “It’s only you two. If you want it, make it happen. If not, we can leave right now.”

“Don’t worry, Z. I wouldn’t bring you all the way here to disappoint you.”

Zan and the other coaches walk out of the cage and the door slams shut, leaving only me, my opponent and the official inside. Meeting them in the middle, the ref goes over the standard rules for the fight. Both of us nod, bump fists and the bell dings, indicating round one is under way.

Pacing myself and testing Switch Hitter’s skills, I toss a few jabs in the air, needing to know if we’re on compatible levels. Weight class isn’t everything in the MMA world. Sometimes the smallest contender can be the best fighter. Without even flinching, my advances are shut down and every punch is dodged while some are tossed in my direction as well. None land. I may have to reevaluate my plan. This isn’t going to be as clean as I thought.

It doesn’t take long before hands are wrapped around my legs. I try my hardest to center myself and stay on my feet, but I’ve been hit in just the right spot. I position my body to flip and mount, like I’ve been taught, but I’m not quick enough.

Before I know it, a strong forearm, stronger than I assumed, is wrapping around my neck, pulling back to cut off my air supply. Rear naked choke, shit. Taking a few deep breaths, I try to calm my overheated and exhausted body and find a way to maneuver out of this situation. From the corner of my eye, I see Zan signaling me to tap. Not yet. If I’m going to go down, the officials are gonna have to call a medic in here—quitting isn’t an option. Dangerous or not, it’s how I’ve been taught.

The phrase that’s been drilled into me for months dances around in my head. Don’t let the fight consume you.

Well, I’m consumed and I’m not giving up. I’ll figure a way out. I always have, I always will.
