Blog Tour Stop: Lock & Key by Cat Porter

Love not only stings when you lose it, when it’s ripped away, but when it first sinks its teeth into you, it can cut just as raw and sting just as deep.
Unfortunately, I had forgotten that.

I was allegedly South Dakota's most famous Old Lady.
Fifteen years ago I had survived my Old Man’s murder
and swore to myself never again.
Never again surrender my heart.
Never again sacrifice to the Club.
But that all changed in one night.

I came home and crashed into him,
and my past and present blew up in my face.
Both of us lonely, running on empty, and unwilling to admit it.
Until now.
I feel things I'd forgotten about, want things I had cut out of my insides.

Who holds the keys to betrayal? To suspicion? To trust?
To brotherhood? To family?
To a bleeding heart?
Right now, I just might.
I suppose some of us have to get really dirty before we can become truly clean.

4 Stars

I'm obsessed MC books. I love a good bad ass MC story with grit, hotness and some chaos. And Cat Porter's Lock & Key has just that!

Lock & Key has a great heroine in this story, Grace. She's strong, well-respected and knows how to fight for what she believes in. She's lost her Old Man in a deal gone wrong fifteen years ago, so she ups and leaves.

She returns back to the MC life that she once knew and loved. Her sister, Ruby is dying (and it truly broke my heart!) and Grace comes back to be with her and her family. She then meets Miller (aka Lock). It was suppose to be a one-night stand, but she soon finds out he's tied to her past.

Miller can't keep Grace off his mind, until they unexpectedly meet and the attraction between the two is still strong. But being back is not all fun and games. The past comes back and causes trouble. Secrets come to surface and lives changes.

I love how we get both POV of the main characters, Lock and Grace. We get a glimpse of Grace's past and how she meet Dig, her Old Man. I loved their story and secretly didn't want it to end, even though I knew it what their fate was. But don't get me wrong, Grace also found that love again with Lock.

Lock & Key is a great MC book that keeps your toes and will steam up your Kindle with scenes between Grace and Lock. I hope we get more books with different characters from The Club and maybe a little of more of Lock and Grace!

About the Author

I'm Cat Porter. I daydream all the time, 'what if' way too much, and am an incurable romantic. And I don't want to be cured of any of those. Ever. I've always loved to read, and always needed to write. I like to explore what bonds a man and a woman together- the very small things and the sort of epic, the glory and the mess. Oh yeah, plenty of crazy mess. Don't you think?
