Ever since I was introduced to Easy in the first book, I've been dying inside-- just waiting for his story and it's finally here! Alex "Easy" Rogers comes across as a player, sleeping around and just living his life to the fullest. But it's not who he really is. Easy has watched his crush, the woman who he loves from the sidelines over the years.
Dani Peterson and her husband, Joker, the Squadron Commander were married. And after losing him in flight accident, her world came crashing down. And to help pick up the pieces in her life was Easy. He's always been there for her and now she needs him more than ever. Even though the guilt plagues the both of them. Their feelings for each other grows, but the guilt continues to grow too.
I felt every emotion that these two characters went through. My heart hurt for Dani for losing her husband and seriously, how can you move on from that? And then my heart for Easy because he's been in love with Dani for so long and taking it further felt like a betrayal towards his friend.
I can't tell you how much I love this book. It's all about loss, heartbreak and learning to move forward and being ok. Wild Aces is one of my all-time favorite series and sad that it's over, but happy that all the Wild Ace men found their HEA.
