New Release: Code Name: Disavowed by Sawyer Bennett

Their engagement ended more than a decade ago, but the heart never forgets true love. Code Name: Disavowed is a second chance romantic suspense standalone, available now from New York Times
Bestselling Author Sawyer Bennett!

Life works in mysterious ways. Jameson Force Security has just received notice of a disavowed CIA agent in need of rescue in Central America. My blood runs cold when I learn that agent is none other than Greer Hathaway—my former fiancée.

Having gone our separate ways more than a decade ago, I still have bitter feelings toward Greer and the demise of our relationship. Those feelings don’t change the fact that I loved her more than anything, so I’m on the next flight out to embark on a rescue mission. Besides, Greer once saved my life, so now it’s time to return the favor and put her firmly in my past.

Face-to-face for the first time since ending our engagement, Greer and I are left with not only anger, unanswered questions and regrets, but also the undeniable chemistry we apparently still have. Will the promise of a new future together be enough, or will the same obstacles tear us apart again?

Dream Keeper (#4) by Kristen Ashley

Spinning off from the bestselling Dream Man and Rock Chick series, this is the emotional and steamy contemporary romance fans of the Dream Team series have been waiting for!

Pepper Hannigan is determined to keep any romance off the table—and out of her bedroom—while her daughter Juno is still young. Sure, a certain handsome commando is thoughtful, funny, and undeniably hot, but Pepper’s had her heart broken before, and she won’t let it happen again. Not to her or her little girl, even if this hero could melt any woman’s resolve.

Augustus “Auggie” Hero can’t deny his attraction to beautiful, warm-hearted Pepper or how much he wants to make a home with her and her little girl, but Pepper’s mixed signals have kept him away. That is, until Juno decides to play matchmaker. Her efforts finally bring Pepper into his arms, but they expose the danger Pepper is in. To protect Pepper and Juno, Auggie will have to live up to his last name and prove happy endings aren’t just for fairy tales.

4 Stars

I say this every time I finish a Kristen Ashley book...I LOVE IT. There's something about this author's storytelling that really sucks you in. She makes you fall for every character and trickles in past characters who you loved earlier in the series and you just can't get enough!

Auggie and Pepper have an undeniable attraction, but she's been hesitant to move anything forward with him. Even with her daughter, Juno, and Pepper's friends push for it. But when Pepper finds herself in trouble with her estranged family and some questionable people, Auggie steps in to protect her and Juno.

Dream Keeper is the typical KA book where the Alpha male comes swooping in the save his woman from trouble and crazy antics caused by her and friends. It's why I love reading these books! It's filled with steamy and sweet moments and a lot of twists and turns and danger.

About the Author

Kristen Ashley is the New York Times bestselling author of over sixty romance novels including the Rock Chick, Colorado Mountain, Dream Man, Chaos, Unfinished Hero, The ’Burg, Magdalene, Fantasyland, The Three, Ghost and Reincarnation, Moonlight and Motor Oil and Honey series along with several standalone novels. She’s a hybrid author, publishing titles both independently and traditionally, her books have been translated in fourteen languages and she’s sold over three million books.

Kristen’s novel, Law Man, won the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Award for best Romantic Suspense. Her independently published title Hold On was nominated for RT Book Reviews best Independent Contemporary Romance and her traditionally published title Breathe was nominated for best Contemporary Romance. Kristen’s titles Motorcycle Man, The Will, Ride Steady (which won the Reader’s Choice award from Romance Reviews) and The Hookup all made the final rounds for Goodreads Choice Awards in the Romance category.

Heard It in a Love Song by Tracey Garvis Graves

Layla Hilding is thirty-five and recently divorced. Struggling to break free from the past—her glory days as the lead singer in a band and a ten-year marriage to a man who never put her first—Layla’s newly found independence feels a lot like loneliness.

Then there’s Josh, the single dad whose daughter attends the elementary school where Layla teaches music. Recently separated, he’s still processing the end of his twenty-year marriage to his high school sweetheart. He chats with Layla every morning at school and finds himself thinking about her more and more.

Equally cautious and confused about dating in a world that favors apps over meeting organically, Layla and Josh decide to be friends with the potential for something more. Sounds sensible and way too simple—but when two people are on the rebound, is it heartbreak or happiness that’s a love song away?

From the bestselling author of The Girl He Used to Know comes a love song of a story about starting over and second chances.

3.5 Stars

Heard It in a Love Song is a low-drama romance, that is sweet all around. It's all about finding trust and love again after failed marriages.

Layla left her marriage after realizing that her ex is someone who mentally knocked her down and she knew she could move on her own. Layla deserved so much more. Josh is now a single dad after realizing his long-time marriage has changed over time. He married young and they just grew apart.

I really enjoyed how this book is written - it takes you present and then to the past to get the backstory of each characters.

Indigo Ridge (The Edens, #1) by Devney Perry

Indigo Ridge by Devney Perry is now live!

Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montana's new chief of police, she's determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didn't earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor.

According to her pops, all she has to do is earn favor with the Edens. But winning over the town's founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. In her defense, it was her first night in town and she didn't realize that the rugged and charming man who wooed her into bed was Quincy royalty.

Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she's trying to forget. He's insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she's an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths.

As clues to the murderer lead to one of Quincy's own, Griffin realizes Winslow is more than he gave her credit for. Beautiful and intelligent, she proves hard to resist. For him. And the killer.

Another new series fro
m this author gets me excited. I'm such a fan of Ms. Devney's from day one. The Edens is a new series with a new characters and more new drama...and Indigo Ridge is a great start to a new series!

I love the female main character right off the bat - Winslow is not only smart and beautiful...she's a bad ass new Chief of Police in the town of Quincy. She's young, but with experience to be the new Chief, but to her police staff and most of the town, she has plenty to prove her worth. And that includes her accidentally one night stand with Griffin Eden.

Griffin Eden and his family pretty much owns the town, so we he learns that his hot one night stand is not a tourist, but the new Chief of Police, everything changes. Griffin doesn't do relationships and knowing that his attraction Winnie is causing him complicated issues.

Griffin and Winnie team up when another dead body shows up on his ranch. Winnie feels like this death is something more...maybe murder! So to prove herself to her town, Winnie sets her sight on solving the mysterious deaths happening in Quincy.

Indigo Ridge is sexy with a lot of suspense. And as always, I can't wait to read more in this series!

Riggs (Arizona Vengeance #11) by Sawyer Bennett

Known as the team loner, Riggs Nadeau gives his all on the ice, but nothing extra off it. A beautiful stranger is about to cause chaos in his very structured world.

As a professional hockey player, people think I live a charmed life. On the surface, I do. But they don’t know the horrors of my childhood, or the real reason that I have custody of my seventeen-year-old sister, Janelle. And that’s exactly the way I like it. They may think I’m a prick because I don’t like to share, but that’s fine. They don’t know me, and they don’t need to.

In an effort to help Janelle get settled in Phoenix and stay out of trouble at school, I set her up with a job at Clarke’s Corner, the local bookstore owned by the girlfriend of a teammate. It’s there that she makes friends with Veronica Woodley, the extremely annoying, arrogant, money-hungry divorcee who I don’t want anywhere near my sister. Janelle insists I’m completely wrong about Veronica, but I refuse to accept that. I have to keep reminding myself that that the gorgeous blond with legs for days is off limits.

Through a series of events, I start to see Veronica for what she really is—an amazing woman who has survived her own hell to come out even stronger. I have to admit, we’re more alike than not and the attraction between us burns hot.

Maybe I was all wrong about my ability to love and commit, but when the past comes back to haunt me, can I be the man that Veronica, and Janelle, deserve?

On Location by Sarah Smith

Nothing like a rocky start between enemy coworkers stuck together on location to prove that love isn't just a ploy for ratingsit's a force of nature.

Alia Dunn has finally gotten her big break. After years of working her way up at TV's top outdoor travel channel, she gets the green light from network executives to bring her dream project to life: produce a series about Utah's national parks. It's a touching tribute to her late apong, who sparked Alia's passion for travel and the outdoors as a kid.

Alia is thrilled—until she meets her newest crew member, Drew Irons. The same Drew she had the most amazing first date with two weeks ago—who then ghosted her. The same Drew who has the most deliciously thick forearms and who loves second-guessing her every move on set in front of the entire crew. It's not long before the tension between them turns hotter than the Utah desert in the dead of summer, and their steamy encounters lead to major feelings.

But when the series host goes rogue one too many times, jeopardizing the entire shoot, Alia realizes that she'll need to organize one hell of a coup to save her show—and she'll need Drew's help to do it. It's the riskiest move she's ever made. If she pulls it off, she'll end up with a hit series and her dream guy . . . but if it all goes wrong, she could lose both.

4 Stars

On Location is the first book I read from this author and now I'm a fan. It's a fun, adventurous and sexy read. The connection between the characters, Alia and Drew is filled with chemistry from the start.

Alia and Drew meet by chance, but it turned out after their first meet, things happened and they didn't see each other again. Until, Alia and Drew ends up working on her new series. Alia has an opportunity to produce her own new expedition series and Drew ends up on her team and the sparks and miscommunications flow!

The Royals Next Door Karina Halle

An ordinary summer goes royally awry when a prince and princess move next door, bringing their handsome bodyguard with them, from New York Times bestselling author Karina Halle.

Piper Evans: elementary school teacher by day--avid romance reader and anonymous podcaster by night. She lives a quiet, reclusive life, taking care of her mother, who struggles with mental illness, avoiding her regrettable ex, who bartends in town, and trying to make inroads in the tight-knit island community that still sees her, five years in, as an outsider.

And she's happy with how things are--really--until British royals rent the property next to hers and their brooding bodyguard decides she's a security threat. Piper quickly realizes that one person's fairy tale is an ordinary woman's nightmare as a media frenzy takes over the island and each run-in with Harrison Cole is hotter and more confusing than the last. But beneath Harrison's no-nonsense exterior lies a soft heart, one that could tempt a woman who's sworn off attachments into believing in white knights.

But when Piper finds herself smack in the middle of a royal scandal that rocks the island she'll need more than Harrison's strong arms to shield her--she'll have to do a little rescuing herself. With careers, hearts, and friendships on the line, Piper and Harrison will have to decide what they're willing to give up for a chance at their own happily ever after.

3.5 Stars

The Royals Next Door is a fun take and those real Royals that happened to move to LA. But what I loved about this book, is that the main characters weren't the Royals, but their sexy, broody and overprotective body guard.

Piper and her mother live in a modest home off a million dollar property. Even though Piper lived on the island for years, she still feels like an outsider to the towns people. Both her and her mother keep to themselves. But it all changes with the most famous British Royals moves next door to them. It changes their quiet and peaceful life.

Harrison Cole is the top security for the Royals. His number one job is the safety and security of his clients. And when he goes head to head with the snarky and beautiful neighbor, Piper, he can't help be intrigued by her. Piper and Harrison have a fun banter. His seriousness and her quirky personality are the perfect opposite attracts.

When Sparks Fly by Helena Hunting

Purchase on Amazon!

Running the Spark House, a hotel/event space that has been in her family for years, has been Avery Spark’s lifelong dream. After years of working hard and making personal sacrifices, Avery and her two younger sisters have turned the Spark House into the premier destination in Colorado Springs. Avery is living her best life—she works with her sisters and loves every minute of it, she has a great group of friends, and she lives in a fantastic condo with her best friend Declan. She might not have any love in her life, but she's happy.

But everything comes to a screeching halt when Avery is in a car accident, leaving her immobile for weeks. After nearly losing Avery, Declan insists that he will be the one to take care of her while she recovers. However, as Declan becomes Avery’s caretaker, lines begin to blur.

Avery and Declan have been best friends since college and always had an attraction to one another, but when she ended up dating his best friend, Sam, they successfully stamped down any feelings they may have ever had for one another. Now, as Declan and Avery spend more time together, they each begin to wonder what would’ve happened if she'd dated him instead of Sam. What starts as a friend helping out another friend turns into foreplay and, before they realize it, they recognize how deeply they care for one another. But when things get serious their past threatens to destroy everything they have built.

4 Stars

When Sparks Fly is the perfect best friends to lovers book this year! I've always been a fan on Ms. Hunting's book and this is just another favorite of hers.

It's an entertaining and fun read between best friends Avery and Declan. They've been friends since college and currently roommates. But when that spark that was hidden between the surface of their relationship ignites, everything changes for them!

There is a good reason why these two are best friends. They have a lot in common and really get each other. And there's also a good reason why neither of them do a  serious romantic relationship. Avery had her heart broken by Declan's friend and is happier spending her time at work rather than dating, and Declan... Declan has a lot of emotional baggage from family.

Their spark happens after Avery's car accident and it puts everything in motion between Avery and Declan. But moving beyond of best friends to lovers isn't an easy relationship.

Chasing Serenity (River Rain #1) by Kristen Ashley

Chasing Serenity, an all new sexy and swoony opposites attract standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kristen Ashley, is available now!

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley brings a new novel in her River Rain series…

From a very young age, Chloe Pierce was trained to look after the ones she loved.

And she was trained by the best.

But when the man who looked after her was no longer there, Chloe is cast adrift—just as the very foundation of her life crumbled to pieces.

Then she runs into tall, lanky, unpretentious Judge Oakley, her exact opposite. She shops. He hikes. She drinks pink ladies. He drinks beer. She’s a city girl. He’s a mountain guy.

Obviously, this means they have a blowout fight upon meeting. Their second encounter doesn’t go a lot better.

Judge is loving the challenge. Chloe is everything he doesn’t want in a woman, but he can’t stop finding ways to spend time with her. He knows she’s dealing with loss and change.

He just doesn’t know how deep that goes. Or how ingrained it is for Chloe to care for those who have a place in her heart, how hard it will be to trust anyone to look after her…

And how much harder it is when it’s his turn.

4 Stars

And Ms. Ashley does it again! Another great start to a new series - this is why she is one of my all-time favorite author.

Chasing Serenity had me hook at the beginning. It was great to get refresher of who was who and what had happened beforehand and it brought the story all together. Chloe Pierce and Judge Oakley are so opposite, but so right for each other. Sure on paper they aren't a match, but when they are together bickering and flirting, their chemistry is off the chart.

I will say Chloe did bother me at time with her bratty behavior, but I did like her character. And Judge, he was just about perfect as they get. Ms. Ashley knows how to make you fall for all her leading male characters.

Overall, this book is not only about finding your match and getting your HEA. But it's a lot about family, all the good and bad and secrets that come out, which really brings everyone together. There are many secondary characters (Chloe's siblings!) who I assume will get their chance to tell their story in future books...and seriously, I can't wait.

I joined Jameson Force Security for three reasons: the missions, the danger, and the money. I definitely didn’t join the team to be an overpriced babysitter for a spoiled princess. Ask anyone who knows me, and they’ll tell you Jackson Gale is an adventurer through and through. Yet here I am, halfway across the world, watching over Princess Camille of the House Winterbourne. Even her name sounds stuck up.

After arriving in Bretaria, I realize that Princess Camille is nothing that I expected. Beautiful, smart, and sophisticated, Camille is the very picture of elegance and grace. But under her perfect façade, she is funny, adventurous, sexy as hell, and impossible to resist. And that is a dangerous combination.

The closer Camille and I become, the more obvious it is that while she and I are compatible in many ways, our destinies are not. She has a duty to the monarchy, and I’m just an average American who’s fallen for a princess. Everyone says we can’t be together, but how does one walk away from the other half of their heart?

4 Stars

You just gotta love the men from the Jameson Force Security group and Jackson Gale is one of my favorite. Code Name: Tiara is a sexy fairytale that will have you wanting to be a Princess and finding your Prince. And that's exactly what Princess Camille, heir of Bretaria rubies, did in her security circle.

Jackson is a former tough Seal and he loves what he does - the thrill and the dangerous missions, but one thing he didn't want to sign up for...babysitting a spoiled princess (or he thought!).  Princess Camille of Bretaria is next in line to take over - she's young, beautiful and a hard-worker, who loves her country and family. But she's not your typical Princess - she's down to earth, wants to cliff-dive with her friends and just live a normal twenty-something life.

Jackson and Camille develop a friendship that turns into a secret relationship over his time in protecting her. Jackson's main concern is making sure no threat gets near the Princess. As these two travel around, they slowly learn about each other and by his surprise, Princess Camille is not the stereotypical Royal as he thought.

The more time they spend together, the more time they fall. But can a normal commoner and her Royal Highness actually have a life together?

Overall, this book is a fun, charming and sexy read. I always look forward in reading about the Jameson men and protecting the women they fall for!
