Leary Michaels is a powerhouse when it comes to representing clients who need it. She has learned from the best--her reclusive boss, Midge. Leary works her charm, her looks and her brain to win a case. And she only takes case that means something to her. She frowns upon big corporation/legal firms who is only looking for the dollar amount.
Her next big challenge is going head-to-head with the new (and very hot!) defense attorney, Reeve Holloway. Reeve is also ruthless in the courtroom, but when he comes face-to-face with Leary, he loses all sense of rational thinking and can't control his attraction to Leary.
Leary plays the game and her next game is having a no relationship, no work-conflict fling with Reeve. But the more time these two attorneys spend time together in the courtroom and in the bedroom, feelings start to run deep.
But as we all know, there can only be one winner in a case and the "friction" between Leary and Reeve can cause a lot of pain and careers could be destroyed.
Friction is full of steamy romps and sexual attraction. I loved these two characters together. They are one of my favorite book couples! Now, I'm hoping Ford will get his own book and a nice little HEA.
