There's something about Ms. Wylde's writing that just keeps you on the edge of your seat while reading any of her books. I love, love her Reaper's series and I just knew the moment I heard the Silver Valley series was coming, I'd love it too! And did this first book knocked it out of the park.
Most MC books keep you on the edge and make you cringe at certain parts--their lifestyle is not pretty! And Silver Bastard had me doing that! The beginning of the Puck and Becca's story had me freaking out. Wow! I did not see that coming...
Then boom (I will not give away what happened five years ago!), Puck and Becca mostly avoid each other even though they are living in the same small town, but they can't seem to get over what happened between them! Becca is afraid and completely turned on every time she runs into Puck. And Puck tries so hard to stay away, but there's something powerful that connects these two. He's always watching after her from afar.
Secrets and Becca's past soon catches up with her, causing her to turn to the one guy that holds her heart and fear...Puck. Silver Bastard takes you wild hot, steamy and full-on drama ride. And I expected nothing less from this MC gang!
Even though this is a new spin-off, it's not necessary to read the Reaper's series, but it nice to know who some of characters and their back stories are when they are filtered in this book. And seriously, what are you waiting for if you have not dived into that kick-ass series?
