ARC Review: Nice Girls Don't Ride by Roni Loren

Natalie Bourne thinks she has the perfect night planned for her twenty-first birthday. But when her car breaks down and her boyfriend bails on her, she’s left stranded in an auto shop dealing with a way too cocky, way too hot mechanic, who seems to be intent on pushing every button she has.

Monroe Hawkins knows he shouldn't be messing with a girl from the uppity private college. Especially when he can tell she sees him as the help. But he’s having trouble resisting the redhead with the smart mouth and the killer legs. So when Natalie’s night goes from bad to worse, there’s no way he’s letting her spend her birthday alone. He makes her a deal—he’ll take her home but not until the sun comes up.

Ten hours, one motorcycle, and the city of Austin at their fingertips…things are about to take a major detour. And soon, there may be no U-turn in sight.

This novella was included in the Riding Desire Boxed Set, which is no longer available. But Nice Girls Don't Ride will be available again in April 2015 as a standalone from Penguin Intermix!

3.5 Stars

This is the first book I read from this author and I'm definitely looking forward in reading more! I'm a sucker for a man on a motorcycle, who's a little bad ass and who can cook! Yep, Monroe Hawkins fits that bill.

Natalie Bourne has her life planned out. She didn't grow up with the white picket fence, so she forced herself in thinking that she needs the "perfect" life.  She's got the perfect, successful boyfriend and ready to have the best twenty-first birthday ever.

That's until her car breaks down and her perfect boyfriend is no where to be found. Queue in the hot, cocky mechanic, Monroe. He saves Natalie from being stranded on the side of the road. But Natalie isn't easy to win over. She's feisty, smart-mouth and fights with Monroe. And that is a huge turn-on for him, but he knows (or thinks) he should stay away from this "Princess."

Monroe bets Natalie to spend her birthday with him after an eye-opening event with her boyfriend (and let me just say I loved what she did to the boyfriend!).  She agrees and ends up  having a fantastic time with Monroe. What I loved about Monroe is that he helps Natalie break down her walls and gets her to open up. She can be herself and doesn't have to hide.

But their night ends with Monroe offering her an epic road trip that he plans on taking for the summer. Does she take it or does their one night end of her birthday?

Nice Girls Don't Ride is a fun, quick novella. You'll love the chemistry, banter and plenty of hot moments between these two characters!
