Tinsel (Lark Cove, #4) by Devney Perry

Sofia Kendrick has always cherished her tiara. As the youngest daughter of a wealthy New York family, she’s lived the life of an American princess. But after two scandalous divorces and a breakup smear her name across the society rags, the shine from her crown has dulled. People call her superficial, even gaudy.

She’s nothing more than tinsel.

Desperate for escape and starving for peace, Sofia heads to Montana for a holiday weekend with her brother. But she doesn’t get the relaxing vacation she planned. Instead, she’s put to work in a bar alongside Dakota Magee—a man who does not want her help. A man who is set on teaching her a few lessons about real life and hard work. But Sofia has a couple of life lessons of her own to teach. Like how to fall in love.

The Lark Cove series just gets better and better! And I might have to say Tinsel is my favorite one. These books can be read as a standalone, but I think it's better to get a sense of how all these characters are connected.

Sofia Kendrick, sister of Logan Kendrick, has always been known to her family as the flighty, superficial and 'has no goals in life' daughter/sister. But she's more than that. I truly felt for this girl. Normally, you think boo-hoo on a spoiled princess, but Sofia was so misunderstood. Sofia just wanted love and attention that she never received from her family. (I wanted to hug her!).

After a big misunderstanding in the public limelight, Sofia takes off to Montana to lick her wounds, take a vacation and figure out her life. She heads to her brother Logan's place for an escape in Lark Cove, but she doesn't get the relaxation as she hoped. Her sister-in-law Thea has a better idea - put Sofia to work in the bar, while her and Logan go on vacation.

Dakota Magee helps run the bar and the last thing he needs is to babysit the spoiled princess, Sofia. But the more he spends time with the beautiful Sofia, he learns that deep down, Sofia is not what she seems on surface. Their banter between each other is funny and sweet and while Dakota helps Sofia path  a new life for herself, he can't help wanting to be part of it.
