ARC Review: Some Sort of Happy by Melanie Harlow

Skylar Nixon is a twenty-seven year old failed actress with no Plan B. After a humiliating stint on a reality TV show crushes what’s left of her childhood dream, she finds herself back in her hometown with no money saved, no college degree, and no confidence she’s anything but a joke—a small town starlet who couldn’t hack it in the big city.

When she runs into former classmate Sebastian Pryce, she can’t believe the hot body and chiseled jaw belong to the shy, troubled loner she knew ten years before. He’s not exactly friendly at first, and she’s heard the rumors about his tragic past, but something in his sad eyes intrigues her. She only wants to get to know him better.

Until the night she wants more—and takes it. (Hard and deep. Twice.)

Are they just two lonely people seeking solace? Or can a disgraced beauty queen and flawed, frustrated man find some sort of happy ever after?

**Some Sort of Happy is a full-length, dual POV novel, complete with HEA.**

4.5 Stars

Some Sort of Happy is just that. It perfectly describes the relationship between these two characters Skylar and Sebastian. Skylar Nixon, small town beauty queen is back home, living with her parents at the age of twenty-seven. She thought her life would be the full Hollywood glamour of movie roles coming left and right. Nope, just a reality show that ended up portraying her as the mean girl.

Sebastian Pryce is also back home after his failed engagement and work situation as a lawyer. He's back home in Michigan trying to settle his own life as best as he can. Sebastian had a huge crush on Skylar back in high school, but was shy, scared and the "awkward' teen back then, so he never approached it.

But when these two meet up and end up spending time with each other, the chemistry between the two is hot! But it's not without a lot of frustration. Sebastian lives with a condition that is hard to control, but Skylar is willing to be patient with him!

What I loved about this book is the condition that Sebastian has is unique than any other story. It's brings light to this disorder that most of us don't understand. The dual POV was great to get both sides of how it affected both Sebastian and Skylar's relationship.

Some Sort of Happy is a fun, HOT and a tad bit angsty read. I loved their HEA, because it worked perfect for them!
