ARC Review: Ryker (Cold Fury Hockey #4) by Sawyer Bennett

The rugged men of the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team are winning hearts once again in another scorching novel from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett.

The stakes have never been higher for Carolina Cold Fury goalie Ryker Evans. With his contract running out, he’s got a year left to prove he’s still at the top of his game. And since his wife left him, Ryker has been balancing life as a pro-hockey star and a single parent to two daughters. Management is waiting for him to screw up. The fans are ready to pounce. Everybody’s taking dirty shots—except for the fiery redhead whose faith in Ryker gives him a fresh start.

As the league’s only female general manager, Gray Brannon has learned not to mix business with pleasure. And yet even this tough, talented career woman can’t help breaking her own rules as she gives Ryker everything she’s got. She hopes their hot streak will last forever, but with Ryker’s conniving ex plotting to reclaim her man, the pressure’s on Gray to step up and save a tender new love before it’s too late.

Hands down...this book, Ryker, is my favorite from the Cold Fury series! I loved this story, I loved Ryker and his two little girls.

Ryker Evans is settling into a new role besides being the starting goalie of Cold Fury, he's learning how to be a single father raising two rambunctious girls. After his wife, Hensley, cheats and leaves him for his much younger former teammate, he gets custody of Violet and Ruby. Ryker is known to a have temper and management is waiting for another another blow-up from him to let him go.

But when a big shake-up happens to the Cold Fury franchise, everyone on the team is on edge. In comes the new GM for the franchise, Gray Brannon, a woman (gasp!). Not everyone is happy that the daughter of former GM has been handed the reign. Gray has a lot to prove, even though she is qualified for the position.

Gray knows a lot about Ryker and helped recruit him to the Cold Fury team, but when their one-on-one meeting as GM and employee happens, sparks sizzle between the two. Knowing that these two need to keep it professional, their chemistry is hard to deny and they end up taking their relationship outside the arena in secret.

Getting involved with an employee, Gray knows there's a lot on line. There are plenty of drama, exes and disgruntle team players and staff that throw every curve-ball at these two. Ryker is a fantastic read that keep me on the edge till the very end, waiting for these two get their HEA!
