I love a good second chance story and am a huge fan of this author. So this book is a win on both! Flawed Heart flip flops from the past to the present--but in a way that is not confusing and flows with the plot seamlessly.
Belle and Max meet back in college. He was the popular sport jock and she was the quiet one that hid in the background. Belle and Max formed friendship, despite all the school drama that tend to follow Max (crazy exes for example!) and soon their friendship turned into love. Which lead them to a beautiful marriage, that's until one night changed Max's life.
And this change in Max lead his "Blue-Belle" to leave him, their marriage and left her completely heartbroken and with a secret she carries for the next five years.
Back in the same town as Max, Belle avoids Max as much as she can. That is until she decides to face the truth with him. But reuniting with Max is still painful--she hopes letting go will help her move on from Max. But it isn't that easy.
These two characters have special chemistry that you can't but root for their HEA second chance. But secrets and truth stand in the way before these two can make it again. Flawed Hearts is a fantastic, quick read. And I'm looking forward to more in this series with new characters!
