Blog Tour Stop: Better when He's Bold by Jay Crownover

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jay Crownover, comes the second book in a combustible new series, Welcome to the Point, that is sexier, darker, and better than ever.

There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who is bad. . . . Welcome to the Point.

In a dark and broken kingdom, a ruler has be fearless to control the streets and the ruthless people who run them. Race Hartman is just bold enough, just smart enough, and just lost enough to wear the crown. Places like The Point will always have bad things and bad people, but the man in control of all that badness can minimize the devastation. Race has a plan, but can he prevent total annihilation without destroying himself?

Brysen Carter has always seen the real Race—a guy too pretty, too smooth, and way too dangerous. Basking in his golden glow is very tempting, but Brysen knows she’ll eventually get burned. She has enough problems without the risky danger and mayhem that comes with a guy like Race. Too bad Brysen faces a threat close to home that might be more dangerous than anything The Point has ever produced.. And the only person interested in keeping her safe is the one man she can’t allow herself to have.

Sometimes being bold is the only way to stay alive. But can she let Race save her life . . . if it means losing herself to him?

4 Stars
Hot bad boys and hot criminals. That is what the Point is all about. Ok, maybe it's not the safest place to be, but if I can find myself Race to protect me...then sign me up!

Race Hartman use to be the golden, trust-fund boy from the Hill. But we all know how his story ends with his family (you should of read book one, if you haven't, well you're missing out!). Race is fiercely protected over Dovie,  his half-sister and Bax, Dovie's better-half! Those two are his family. Brysen also comes from the Hill, but she doesn't come from the most wealthiest family, but growing up she seemed to have the great family life. But looks on the outside is deceiving.

Brysen has been trying to hold herself together, while protecting her younger sister from her parents. Her mom loves her bottle more than her children and her dad, is just physically there. She's struggling to get through school and work, all while finding herself in troubling situations--and not that she was looking.

In comes Race, the "knight and shinning armor" for Brysen--well at least his bad boy version of it. The attraction between these two is off the chart! Finding themselves being attracted to each other, these two can't seem to stay away. There is something about Brysen that Race always want to be there for and protect. But his lifestyle and his so-called "friends" scares her. She doesn't seem to fit in his world. But all that changes...

Better When He's Bold is another great addition to this series. It's full of angst, steam, mystery and lots of action. Plus, I loved getting a little more of Dovie and Bax. Looking forward to hear Titus' story next. That man deserves his own HEA.
