This is my first book from this author and will not be last. Ms. McCarthy's writing is amazing and her storytelling will pull you in. Fight Absolution is a read that will have up all night - this book is emotional, heartbreaking and heartwarming.
This is a story about a young girl, who has gone through so much in life and left all alone as a teen. She doesn't know who she is or where she belongs. It's not until she meets "Bear," the boy who gave her hope, love and friendship when she needed it the most. And when Bear leaves unexpectedly, Jamie is nothing more than hurt, anger and confused.
Jamie joins the army and successfully completes her tasks and becomes a combat medic. Her job is not only scary, it takes on her mental health emotionally. And when Bear walks back into her life on Base, she is surprised. Their reunion is not what I expected and was totally caught off guard!
This book had a lot of twists and turns that I was not expecting and second chances. It really shows the raw emotions of a solider who heads into a war zone. A fantastic read!
