This is the first book I've read from this author and now I'm a big fan. Bullets and Bonfires is hot, angsty and suspenseful.
Brianna Avery is back home after being gone for years and losing contact with friends and her brother. But it's not by choice. She's escaping from an abusive relationship and the last person she needs to see or be saved by is the boy who stole and broke her heart years ago, Liam Hollister.
Liam and Brianna had a lot of chemistry growing up, but never acted upon it, because she's his best friend's little sister. So instead of pulling together, he pushes her away. And now that she's back in town and needs protection, Liam is willing to do anything for her.
