ARC Review: Playing with Trouble (Capital Confessions #2) by Chanel Cleeton

The author of Flirting with Scandal presents her second book in a sexy contemporary romance series about three sisters in a powerful political family, the scandals that threaten to destroy them, and the passion that drives them…

The daughter of one of the Senate's most powerful figures, Blair Reynolds was ready to become the ultimate political wife—until she caught her fiancé cheating on her wedding day. Law school is a fresh start, her shot at putting the pieces of her life back together. That’s the plan, at least. Until trouble comes in the form of her Torts professor, the man whose arrogance infuriates her in class but haunts her private fantasies.

Graydon Canter had a fortune and a place on all the hottest "Thirty under Thirty” lists, until a series of personal missteps nearly destroyed his career. A year teaching at a D.C. law school is just the break he needs to get his life back in order, as long as nothing—and no one—trips him up.

When Blair and Gray are forced to work together, their explosive attraction becomes impossible to resist. But Gray’s demons have drawn him dangerously close to the edge, and Blair has spent her life playing by the rules. Will she break them for a shot at love?

The mysterious Capital Confession Blogger is back and ready to spill more dirty secrets. And this time, the focus is on the Reynolds family.

Scandal has rocked the Nation's Capital in the last book and it's spilled into this read! Senator Reynold's affair has ripped his family apart. His daughters, Blair and Kate are angry how their father hid the affair and their half-sister, Jackie.

But scandal just didn't stop at the Senator. Blair's life turned public when her fiance was caught cheating on her on her wedding day! So after running out on her wedding and trying to figure out her life, Blair enrolls into law school.

But law school is cut out for her and her new (did I mention HOT) professor Graydon Canter doesn't make it easier for her. Graydon had it all: upcoming and coming powerful lawyer, money and just living large. Until a series of events that caused his world come crashing down. He moves to D.C. to start over and finding a year-long teaching gig at a law school is what Graydon needs to start over.

That's until Blair Reynolds walked into his classroom.

Playing with Trouble takes you though the ups and down of Blair and Gray. The attraction between these two is intense, but with their past baggage keeps holding them back. Blair has been following rules her entire life and taking a chance with Gray seems like the perfect way to break from the mold and for her to find happiness. But can she break down his walls?

Playing With Trouble is another fantastic read with plenty of angst, surprises, and lots of hotness between these two characters. I can't wait for the next installment with Kate, Blair's sister. Also, it was great getting a little more on Jackie and Will!
