ARC Review: Blurred (Connections #3.5) by Kim Karr

A Connection Series Novella featuring Ben Covington

The story before the love story….

When he lost the only woman he’d ever loved, it seemed there was nothing left to live for.

Even as a boy, all Ben Covington ever wanted was to spend forever with Dahlia London, the beautiful girl next door...then one life-altering decision tore them apart and he was forced to leave her.

Now, despite having returned to win her back, he’s still alone. She’s with someone else—someone she’s never going to leave.

Resigned to a future without his former girlfriend, Ben numbs his broken heart in a haze of liquor and women. But then the only woman who ever even turned his head while he was with his girl reappears unexpectedly. And he’s never forgotten their one incredible night together. But will Ben’s destructive behavior destroy his future with her before it even begins?

4.5 Stars

I was never a fan of Ben from the previous books in this series--I hated him interfering with my River and Dahlia. But Blurred completely changed my liking of him! There is so much heartbreak and pain that Ben was going through.

I truly believe everyone deserves a second chance and Ben Convington is no exception. He always wanted to do what was right. Sure he made some mistakes in his life, but he ended up paying for it. But even when he hit "rock bottom," he came to realize how much stronger he is and that life is giving him this chance to make it better.

I love how this books was written, we get flashback of what really happened with his "death" and parts of his first meeting with S'belle. Along with other key events that we didn't know about while reading Connected and Torn

I really did connect with Ben and I'm hoping he eventually finds his own HEA--especially with S'belle. Those two really have a chemistry and I can't wait to read more about their soon-to-be relationship in Frayed.

So all you not fans of Ben from the past, I can guaranteed you'll be adding Ben Convington as a top book boyfriend after Blurred. He will easily sneak into your heart!
