ARC Review: Phenomenal X (Hard Knocks #1) by Michelle Valentine

Good Girl. Notorious Bad-Boy. One Phenomenal Love.

From the mean streets of Detroit rises the newest superstar of professional wrestling, Xavier Cold, better known as Phenomenal X. His muscular physique makes men cower before him and women lose their minds with desire.

Anna Cortez is fresh out of college and naive to the harsh realities of the real world. Tired of living under the thumb of her conservative family, she defies them when she accepts a job as the assistant to wrestling’s most notorious bad-boy. Phenomenal X has an animalistic nature that even good girl Anna finds hard to resist.

One night forced to share a bed in a sold-out hotel, lines blur between them and they quickly learn that one lustful night changes everything and neither one of them will ever be the same.

5 Stars out of 5

Phenomenal X is just phenomenal! What can we say, we love every book that Ms. Valentine writes!
"Beautiful."

Anna was raised by her controlling father, so she leaves her home in Portland to live with her aunt and cousin in Michigan. On the airplane to her new life, she notices a gorgeous (big) man. Everyone on the plane seems to know who he is, but has no clue.

Xavier Cold is a pro wrestler known as Phenomenal X. He 's on the plane to Michigan and catches Anna's eye. There's instant attraction between the two. Xavier knows that there's something sweet and special about Anna. Xavier is relentless in his pursuit with Anna, but Anna is a hesitant.

Xavier and Anna become close during his trip, but they remain "friends." But the attraction is so strong and it conflicts them both.

Phenomenal X follows the ups and down their "friendly" relationship as they both fight the attraction. But there's also the mix of outside forces that throws some angst into to their relationship. This book is sweet and sexy--if you love to read about damaged fighters (who doesn't?), then make sure you add this to your TBR list.

Just a warning though! It's a bit cliffy at the end, so we can not wait to see how Xavier and Anna work out the surprised ending!
