Fallen Heir (The Royals #4) by Erin Watt
These Royals will ruin you.
Easton Royal has it all: looks, money, intelligence. His goal in life is to have as much fun as possible. He never thinks about the consequences because he doesn’t have to.
Until Hartley Wright appears, shaking up his easy life. She’s the one girl who’s said no, despite being attracted to him. Easton can’t figure her out and that makes her all the more irresistible.
Hartley doesn’t want him. She says he needs to grow up.
She might be right.
Rivals. Rules. Regrets. For the first time in Easton’s life, wearing a Royal crown isn’t enough. He’s about to learn that the higher you start, the harder you fall.
4.5 Royal Stars
What? What? What in the what? No seriously, what just happened? I'm gasping for more. That ending in Fallen Heir just left me royally ruined.
For being such young characters, it's amazing how complex and screwed up they are. But that didn't stop me from loving all the shocking drama that happens over at Astor Park. Easton Royal has always been an interesting character. He's the middle child that always seem to beg attention by being a cocky, smart ass. Now that he's a the height of senior year, everyone wants to be him or befriend him. But there is only one elusive girl that could careless about Easton. And that's Hartley Wright.
Hartley is mysterious to Easton. Not much is known about the girl who keeps to herself, but for some reason Easton can't stop being around her. The more Easton persists on being "friends" with Hartley, a little more does her wall comes down. But she's not ready to let Easton in completely. She has her own issues to deal with, before she can even deal with Easton and all his baggage, plus all the drama that happens at Astor Park. Their banter and friendship had me laughing, but it was never short from drama and rumors.
In Fallen Heir, we get a little more of the Reed and Ella. And I love the moments between Ella and Easton's friendship. Overall, this book is non-stop drama that will keep you reading in one sitting. And that ending. Yes, it ends in a cliffhanger, so get ready to be ruined!

Cover Reveal: THIRTY DAY BOYFRIEND by Whitney G
RELEASING NOVEMBER 2
I should've never agreed to this arrangement...
Thirty days ago, my boss—Mr. Wolf of Wall Street, came to me with an offer I couldn’t refuse: Sign my name on the dotted line and pretend to be his fiancée for one month. If I agreed, he would let me out of my employment contract with a “very generous” severance package.
The rules were pretty simple: No intimate kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend to love each other for the press, even though I’ve secretly wanted to knock that sexy smirk off his face since the first day we met.
I definitely didn’t need to think twice about this. I signed my name and started counting down the seconds to when I would never have to deal with his special brand of ass-holery again.
I only made it to one minute...
We argued the entire four-hour flight to his hometown, failed to make a convincing impression with the welcoming press, and right when I was about to knock that arrogant look off his face in real life? He purposely dropped his bath towel in front of me, distracting me with his nine-inch cock to "show me who the bigger person was" in our relationship. Then he gave me his trademark smirk once again and asked if I wanted to consummate our marriage.
Tragically, this is only day one.
We still have 29 more days to go...

Under Her by Samantha Towle
A steamy and hilarious standalone romance from New York Times best-selling author Samantha Towle…
I’m used to being in charge. In and out of the office.
So, when my parents go behind my back and hire a co-CEO to help me manage my family’s business, let’s just say, I don’t take it too well.
Especially not when the woman they’ve hired is the one girl who hated my guts in college. She thinks I’m an overprivileged, womanizing man-whore. I think she’s an uptight, stuck-up bitch.
And, now, she’s here, in my office, telling me how to run my company.
I don’t think so.
It doesn’t matter that she has legs that go on for days or that I keep imagining bending her over my desk and showing her just how bossy I can be.
I’ve worked my ass off and paid my dues to get to where I am, and she’s not taking it from me.
No freaking way.
Morgan Stickford is about to learn the hard way that Wilder Cross is the only boss around here.
4.5 Stars
I'm a huge fan of Ms. Towle. After all, she did give us Jake Wethers, but now we all have a new book boyfriend to obsess over...Wilder Cross. He's sexy, rich, and knows all women want him. But there is only one woman, Morgan Stickford, who can't stand him and it just kills him! Under Her is a hilarious and sexy standalone.
Wilder is ready to take charge of his family's company. He's been primed for it for day one, so when he's about to be named CEO, his parents throw him a curve ball--it would be best to have a co-CEO to help run the company. Wait? What? This is not what Wilder expected and that's not worst of it. Morgan Stickford has been named his co-CEO. The one woman who can not stand him since college.
Morgan couldn't stand Wilder. He may be hot, but he's arrogant and sleeps his way around. And when she accepts the job as co-CEO, Morgan has her work cut out--try to be professional around Wilder.
Working together, these two stir up a lot of chemistry, but sleeping with each other can cause a lot of conflict. But can they stop their feelings and keep work and their personal life separate?
Under Her is a humorous read that has both POV's from Wilder and Morgan. I loved getting inside Wilder's head. It's a quick and steamy read that will have you rooting for these two who are complete opposites, but a perfect match!

Ghosted by J.M. Darhower
He's a troubled young actor, Hollywood's newest heartthrob, struggling with fame as the star of the latest superhero franchise. Through scandal after scandal, addiction on top of addiction, a flurry of paparazzi hunt him as he fights to conquer his demons.
She's a single mother, assistant manager at a grocery store, existing in monotony with her five-year-old daughter. Every day when she goes to work, lurid tabloids surround her, the face of a notorious bad boy haunting her from their covers.
A man and a woman, living vastly different lives, but that wasn't always the case. Once, they were just a boy and a girl who bonded over comic books and fell in love unexpectedly.
When Kennedy Garfield met Jonathan Cunningham back in high school, she knew he had all the makings of a tragic hero. With stars in his eyes, and her heart on her sleeve, the pair ran away together to follow their dreams.
But dreams, sometimes, turn into nightmares.
Now, years later, the only thing they share is a daughter—one who has no idea her father plays her favorite superhero. But Jonathan is desperate to make amends, and at the top of his list is the woman who gave up everything for him and the little girl he hasn't yet met.

Wow! I've been a huge fan of this author's previous work for awhile now. She writes fantastic and intense mafia romance novels and getting something new and different to read from her, had me all excited. And Ghosted lived up to every expectation. It's one of the best second chance story that I've read.
Jonathan and Kennedy were connected back in high school. He was known as the trouble-maker and Kennedy was just a girl who fell in love with this boy. So when she decides to go with her heart and follow Jonathan and his acting dreams, Kennedy ends up losing so much more. Hollywood and fame changed it all for these two.
Kennedy is back home years later and her life isn't want she imagined it to be. But after all the heartbreak she did have one thing that is positive...an adorable daughter, Madison. Madison is full of laughter and life. And when her father comes back into her life, it's a surprise for everyone. Not only finding out that Madison's favorite superhero is just more than a character, it causes tension and chaos having Johnathan back. His past promises were always broken and Kennedy is having hard time trusting him.

What I loved about this story is that it was not an easy second chance for the characters. So many things happened between Jonathan and Kennedy over the years--all the lies and betrayal has caused so much hurt. So he really had to prove his love to Kennedy and now to his daughter. A fantastic read! Jonathan and Kennedy were far from perfect, but their story is heartbreaking and heartwarming as their story goes on. And little Madison will steal your heart.

Blog Tour: Toying With Her by Prescott Lane
No one said finding love was easy, but when you invented the world’s bestselling vibrator, it’s near impossible. Yep, that’s right. That little toy hidden in your bedside table is my brain child. It’s aptly named Woman on Top. And you know what they say . . . it’s lonely at the top.
So I’m headed home to my Southern roots. It’s supposed to be an extended Summer vacation — nothing more. But Rorke Weston has other plans for me. Plans that not only involve me being on top, but also underneath him.
It’s been said you never forget your first. For me, that’s definitely true. No night has ever lived up to the one I spent with Rorke.
He’s turned into quite a man. Tan from the Southern sun, and stubborn as the day is long. And there’s nothing sweeter than the swipe of his tongue.
Rorke wants his chance. The one we never had. But that was a long time ago. When I still believed in Prince Charming and Happily Ever Afters. Even ten years later, I feel a pull. And it’s not simply Rorke yanking down my panties.
Do second chances really happen? Or is my heart simply toying with me?
4.5 Stars
This book! Toying with Her, is a sweet, sexy and fun read. Sterling and Rorke are perfectly matched. The southern charm of Rorke will have you melting. This small-town boy woos back his childhood crush and I couldn't love it anymore!
Sterling is a successful business woman who invented the bestselling...adult toy for women. She's millionaire many times over, but having all the money is a lonely place. She has fans all around the world, but also critics that shame her and her company. So what does a girl do to get it away from it all? Head back home for the summer for some relaxation and time with her parents.
But being back home isn't all that welcoming. The small southern town have a few close-minded folks, who shunned her profession, that in turn has effected her parents. And there is one boy, now man, that is willing to get a second chance.
This is the second book I've read from this author and now a big fan. Looking forward to read more books from her!

That should be a cuss word, especially coming out of her full, pink lips. I toss the hammer aside, scanning the mostly-converted barn. Yep, I live in a barn. Well, not any barn. The barn where Sterling and I lost our virginity. I know just the spot. It’s the spot where my bed is now.
I didn’t plan it that way. In fact, I didn’t even really think about it until she showed up in town the other day. I came home, walked in, and realized I’ve designed this place around her. Crazy, but true. That woman has burned herself into the deepest parts of my soul. Deeper than even I realized. She was my first, a memory. I thought it was over. I thought we’d only ever get that one night. She had her life, and I had mine. I didn’t see this coming.
This old barn sits on the edge of my parents’ property. It sucks to be almost thirty and still living on my parents’ land. Technically, I’m not living at home, but sometimes it feels like it. Unfortunately, buying my own house on my teaching salary isn’t in the cards, so a few years ago, I started converting one of the old barns.
Every nail, every piece of wood in here has been touched by me. And it’s almost done. It’s wide open, designed that way mostly because it’s less work than putting up a bunch of walls. The only room with any privacy is the bathroom. I left the distressed rafters from the ceiling exposed and just refinished them. The original sliding barn doors have been replaced with new ones. Almost one whole wall houses my personal library. The only thing left to finish is the kitchen. The upper cabinets are in, but my only appliances are a refrigerator and microwave. So any real meals I eat come from the main house — my parents’ house. My plan is to use part of my summer vacation to finish it up.
I look over at the bed. My subconscious must have taken over with that decision. Sterling is etched into the fiber of this place. Maybe that’s the reason I haven’t ever brought a woman to see this place before? Who knows? The subconscious is a tricky bitch.
But the memories of that day and night are so vivid. It’s all flooding back now that she’s back.
I remember a buddy of mine had rushed me home my freshman year of college, making the two-and-a-half-hour drive from New Orleans in just under two. But I was too late. I wasn’t here when Levi took his last breath. Those few days are a blur. Everything is a blur until the moment I stood up at his funeral to speak; her green eyes were the only thing I saw, her whimpers the only ones I heard. I hadn’t expected her to be there. I hadn’t expected her to fly home from college to say goodbye to my brother, but she had. And I didn’t expect her to find me at my parents’ house after the funeral. I swear, there were hundreds of people there, and it was the loneliest day of my life. I had to get out of there and started walking. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but when I need to think, I tend to walk. That day, Sterling was by my side. We didn’t talk, roaming around the fields until we ended up at this old barn. It was the place that Levi and I escaped to. As little kids, we’d used it as a fort, a clubhouse. Later, it held our bikes and four wheelers.
I remember being embarrassed bringing Sterling inside. It was old and filled with our junk. The only place to even sit was an old, beat up sofa. We made good use of it, though.
I’ve never been as unprepared for something as I was that day. Unprepared to put my brother in the ground, unprepared to lose my virginity, unprepared to let her walk away.
I chuckle remembering exactly how unprepared I was when our naked bodies first touched. My brain thought “condom.” But I didn’t have one. My dick promised it’d pull out. But I had no idea the kind of willpower that would take. I swear to God, I had every intention of pulling out.
I thought for sure that she’d kill me, and quickly launched into the lamest apology in the history of the universe. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. I was never so thankful for anything in my whole life as when she kissed me to shut me up, whispering she was on the pill.
Some might think it’s a dick move to be banging a girl the day you bury your twin brother. But it wasn’t like that at all. It wasn’t cheap. I didn’t think of it as a one-night stand, even though technically it was. It’s impossible to explain. It was us clinging onto life, onto each other. Emily Brontë wrote, "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” And after that night, our souls have been forever linked.
Every single second of that night is burned into my mind, my heart, my skin.
After that night, we stayed in touch for a long time — email, phone calls. But we were thousands of miles apart. And our paths never crossed again. If I was at home on break, she wasn’t. It just seemed like it wasn’t meant to be. She is the one that got away. We never got our chance.
Now she’s back, and she thinks we can be friends? I spent my entire childhood and teenage years being “friends” with her.
She wants to be friends? That’s fine. I’ll be her friend. But I’ll be damned if that’s all I am.

WISH YOU WERE HERE By Renee Carlino 8/18
You know when
you’re looking at someone and you can’t help but smile at how oblivious they
are to their own charm? That’s what was happening to me, and it was making me
feel…happy. Euphoric. Something indescribable. It was like we already knew each
other, like we had met in a previous life. Memories that didn’t exist began
exploding in my mind like fireworks.
Charlotte has spent her twenties adrift, searching for a spark to jump-start her life and give her a sense of purpose. She’s had as many jobs as she’s had bad relationships, and now she’s feeling especially lost in her less-than-glamorous gig at a pie-and-fry joint in Los Angeles, where the uniforms are bad and the tips are even worse.
Then she collides—literally—with Adam, an intriguing, handsome, and mysterious painter. Their serendipitous meeting on the street turns into a whirlwind one-night stand that has Charlotte feeling enchanted by Adam’s spontaneity and joy for life. There’s promise in both his words and actions, but in the harsh light of morning, Adam’s tune changes, leaving Charlotte to wonder if her notorious bad luck with men is really just her own bad judgment.
Months later, a new relationship with Seth, a charming baseball player, is turning into something more meaningful, but Charlotte’s still having trouble moving past her one enthralling night with Adam. Why? When she searches for answers, she finds the situation with Adam is far more complicated than she ever imagined. Faced with the decision to write a new story with Seth or finish the one started with Adam, Charlotte embarks on a life-altering journey, one that takes her across the world and back again, bringing a lifetime’s worth of pain, joy, and wisdom.

Wait, let me go find some tissues before I write this review...
This book. Wow. Wish You Were Here left me in a state of sadness where I thought I never get over it. And then it gave me a sense of happiness for these characters by the time I finished it. Ms. Carlino is a fantastic storyteller, who will make you feel every emotion that Charlotte and Adam goes through.
Charlotte is still trying to figure out her life. She works as a waitress in a crappy diner, still lives with her best friend and has no direction on where she wants to go in life. And in one night, she meets Adam, an artist, and her life is forever changed. Their one-night stand is something either one can ever forget.
Months later, they both have moved on, but never forgot their perfect night together.
Wish You Were Here is a read that you can't spoil too much, without giving this story line away. I will say that this is not about a love triangle. It's about timing--finding your soulmate and love at certain times in your lifetime.
“You’re making love sound tragic,” I
said.
“No”—he shook his head—“I wouldn’t
want it any other way. Tell me about us. What do we like to do?”
“Paint and sail and eat and drink.
Just simple things.” “Don’t forget about sex,” he said.
“Yeah, lots of sex. Before the children were born we
“Yeah, lots of sex. Before the children were born we
"We were practically naked every
second of the day.”
“I like that.”
“When they got older, we’d sneak away
for weekends and leave them at my mom’s.”
“What are they like? Our children.”
“Happy. That’s all we wished for. We
put our love first and it just spilled over into them and now they’re happy.”
Tears sprang from my eyes and ran
down my cheeks. Isn’t that what we all hope for when it comes to our children?
His tone suddenly changed. “That’s
beautiful, Char- lotte.” It was like he was waking up from the dream. I didn’t
want to go back to reality yet, but I knew these fantasies were just to help
Adam get his mind off things.
“I can imagine a long life with you,”
he said. “I can imagine what a great wife you’d be."
I pulled my hand out of his. “The
story is about you and me.” He didn’t say anything; he just nodded and then
continued to stare out the window. I bent and kissed the top of his head again,
and whispered, “It’s about us. Don’t take that away from me.”
